  • Beautiful home, very child friendly

"Our family stayed here along with another family for a weekend getaway, and we loved every minute of it. The home is possibly even nicer than pictured - beautiful, open kitchen/dining/living area, very large master (our daughter slept on the floor next to us and we still had plenty of room to walk around,) and the bunk bed room was perfect for the littles - and very well insulated to noise. The master jacuzzi tub was amazing, and the hot tub was such a nice treat. The house has tons of games, puzzles, movies, etc. and was uber kid friendly (we had a 2, 3, and 4 year old in tow). We look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you!"

  • Stull

"This had to be the best place I have ever stayed at in Big Bear including the places I lived at for a short while. I felt right at home as soon as I opened the door, I love the fenced backyard that is really large and includes horseshoes. There is a charcole BBQ with a container for the new as well as the used coals and we were welcome to use whatever was left by others. There was firewood that Mario said we were welcome to burn so we had several beautiful fires in their large fireplace. The kitchen had everything we needed and the chairs outback and front were nice to be able to go out and sit in the quiet of the neighborhood. With so many places being so close together, this place was so nice with the space between homes. The front yard is like sitting in the middle of the forest and there is plenty of birds, squirrels, and even a cotton tail rabbit that lives inder the brush which was nice to watch while relaxing. Everything was clean just as I expected, there is plenty of places to sit in the front room and the beds upstairs were comfortable. I loved the balcony that had a view out of the extremely large upper window which had the same but even larger window sliders downstairs which basically had that whole side of the house with a big view of the mountains. The neighborhood is very quet, we were the only ones there most of the week and the walk to Sumitt is but 5 minutes away as they said. There is camping and trails in the sumitt area which was great for hikes and bicycle riding. We will definitely be back to enjoy this place, if you are considering staying here, don't hesitate and take advantage of a wonderful place that you are sure to have great memories from. Thank you Mario"

  • Beautiful location and well organized

"What a great time! The owner was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had in regards to our stay. We were all amazed by how accommodating and organized the cottage was. It offered SO MUCH. We really enjoyed having a jacuzzi with an impressive view of Boulder Bay right in front of us. It was a great way to unwind while the sun was setting. The overall feel of the house decor was very "cabin like" complimenting the high wood ceilings and you felt invited and at home. Yet, all the appliances and TVs were all up to date providing a modern touch. Even the beds seemed newer and very comfortable. The private dock with optional pontoon boat and kayaks were a great way to experience the lake and to see Big Bear City shorelines. The boat fired right up and was very easy to manage. Boulder Bay Cottage was an absolute pleasure, Thank You. I would highly recommend this to anybody considering a vacation in Big Bear. There's something for everyone."
