  • Our home away from home!

"This was our second time staying at vista pines, we love this place. Craig is fantastic to work with and he is very helpful. He is our go to first before we plan a trip. This cabin is perfect for our family of all ages! He has everything we need for a toddler and the bigger kids too... Clubhouses, rope swing, large yard! Then when the kids go to bed we can sneak a dip in the hot tub or curl up by the fire! I would recommend this cabin to anyone when planning their trip!"

  • A Great Getaway

"We had a great time in Big Bear and really enjoyed this cabin. It was very homey feeling and the owner was very easy to work with both during booking and while at the property to answer any questions we had. The cabin is well laid out for groups or families. All 4 bedrooms and one bathroom are upstairs and the living area, kitchen, and second bathroom are downstairs. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Parking was sufficient for three cars as stated and we really enjoyed the large deck for drinking morning coffee and watching our three year old play in the leaves. It is located very close to the zoo and a ski resort, so a great location if those are points of interest for you."

  • Pure Heaven up in the mountains!

"We were two families looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy life in LA - this place fit the bill! the place was very clean the kitchen was fully stocked. (On our 2nd day we made chili in the provided crockpot!) we loved the big deck & hot tub. We made a roaring fire in the living room fireplace & played board games & watched football! The kids loved having their own rooms downstairs and the upstairs bedrooms were cozy & comfortable. We were close by to the zoo and the Alpine slide and also did a hike at Snow Summit. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning."

  • Peaceful and relaxing

"Cabin was as expected, very cozy yet space for everything. Kitchen is tiny but cute. Loved the jacuzzi and listening to the wolves howl. You could hear them at various times through the day/evening from the zoo. Really enjoyed being up high and a sense of remoteness even with neighbors nearby. Stores all within an easy 10 minute drive. Hiking with the dogs was nice, too. Small but available fenced in yard was a huge plus! Jacuzzi a bit touchy but it worked fine. BBQ requires coals. Kitchen soap/cleaning supplies hit/miss so a trip to the store might be needed. Plates/cups/utensils/pans/pots/etc.all there. There is a coffee maker but I brought a Keurig. Refrigerator full size and clean. TV/Cable/DVD players are tough to figure out. One remote is JUST the TV. Use the Menu to change where receiving from. Other remote is for the cable and the guide does work. I did not find a remote for the DVD player so I had to use the (TV Remote) Menu to change the setting then manually start the DVD player. It worked fine. There are a few things you could view on-demand but nothing from a premium channel so bring movies if you want to watch something in particular. My only complaint was the road construction right outside the front door. Being awakened by the wolves was delightful. At 7am by a jackhammer 3 out of the 5 days was not. And the noise lasted a good portion of those days. No way to predict that sort of thing, tho', so no fault just disappointing so I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Lysa (property manager) and Kerry King were very easy to work with. I would definitely stay again!"
