Fun time in Big Bear!
The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was clean.
I was very happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We just got back from Big Bear, 945 Knickerbocker. It was a very big cabin, great location, ample parking, and the hot tub was great! While our stay was enjoyable, there were some problems we encountered: 1) The dishwasher doesn't work well at all. We had to rewash at least 1/3 of each load because the dishes weren't clean. Finally gave up and did a lot of them by hand. 2) The bathroom in the bottom bedroom (with the bunk beds) smelled awful. 3) Was the hot tub supposed to be hot when we arrived? It wasn't, and took until our second day (Friday) to get over 100 degrees. 4) The toilet in the middle bathroom kept cycling on every 15 minutes or so. 5) The carpet needs a good cleaning."

"Lovely condo! Had everything we needed and just the right amount of space. We came the last weekend of spring skiiing, which meant Snow Summit (the ski mountain that this condo is at the base of) was closed, but Bear Mountain was a five minute drive away. We'll be back when it's snowing and will rent this unit again."

"Meg was exceptionally responsive and answered questions by text upon our arrival with patience and efficiency. The location was perfect and the cottage was comfortable. We enjoyed eating dinner outside on the deck. 3 things to be aware of: (1) the master bedroom has a skylight right above the bed and a window without a curtain. As our stay was over the longest day of the year, we were up between 5:30 and 6:00 am every morning because of the light coming in (UGH). I don't think this would be an issue in the winter; (2) it is definitely walk-able to the village and we did that, just be aware the walk back is all uphill, my 5 year old could not walk it and I worked up a sweat pushing the 2 year old in her stroller. May not be an issue for older kids and adults in good health; and (3) we thoroughly enjoyed our first night or two in the amazing hot tub, but then the chlorine smell was off the charts and made it unusable. Not sure when the weekly spa cleaning service comes, but maybe this was right after that. Would recommend for adults who are early risers or a family during ski season."
