  • Good Cabin for Large Groups

"We stayed in this cabin for Super Bowel weekend and found it was a good cabin for a group of 12 but it does lack some amenities. We understand it is a cabin and not a hotel so we were expecting some minor issues. For instance there are 4 TV's but the TV in the ground floor bedroom is not hooked up to the cable so unless you happen to have a 20' long piece of threaded cable it will be unwatchable. Also, there were 4 remotes but there were batteries in only 2 of them. If you prefer bars of soap when you shower bring your own because the soap provided is the pump style. Also, there were towels provided in the bathrooms but only one hand towel and one wash cloth for the whole cabin. Our daughter stayed in the bedroom off of the kitchen and she said there was an unusual amount of static electricity in that room. She said when ever they picked up a blanket there was a static electric spark and she and her daughters received many small shocks. A small but shocking discovery... Also, there is only recessed lights through out the cabin. There are no floor lamps which makes looking at the TV controls difficult. Bring flashlights. One of the beds had sheets with several stains but we had prepared for this by bringing sleeping bags. The cabin does have a nice deck which overlooks the area. The shower is the master bedroom is clean and large enough for 2 or 3 people. The furniture is sparse but not old or broken down like some cabins. The kids loved the basketball game in the game room. It is close to almost any where you would want to go. We did report to the management that the coffee maker needs a cleaning as the coffee it produced was bad. Be prepared to hike. There are 33 stairs from your car up to the the kitchen. If there is snow or ice on the stairs they do provide salt. Because of the cabin's size and construction we were not disturbed by other family members during our stay. For the amount charged and what we received we did feel the cabin was a good value."

  • Bear Lagio Fall getaway!

"What a wonderful log cabin getaway. There is something very spiritual about be surrounded by natures bounty. Definitely the best cabin experience. We spent the days hiking, and kayaking; and the evenings relaxing by the fire, and soaking in the hot tub. No waiting for this tub to heat, it was ready to go all weekend long. All the amenities of home yet tucked away in the wilderness. Search no more, this cabin has all you need!"

  • Great cozy cabin get-away

"We spent a lovely relaxing week-end here with our daughter and her family (a total of 4 adults 3 kids and a dog) and loved it. One of my 6 year old granddaughters said "I love this cabin can we live here?" The cabin was very clean and well equipped. We loved eating at the large built in table on the back porch. Good location, close enough to everything but far enough away from the main drag to be quiet."
