Centrally located and very comfortable
". It was great that on a busy winter weekend we were able to just walk to the ski slopes in 2 minutes rather than worry about parking. We also were able to walk home for lunch instead of eating on the mountain.
2. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking as well as a nice bbq out back.
3. We were able to bring our dog to enjoy the weekend with us!
4. Property was very neat and clean, would stay again!
The location of this Bear Mountain rental house is perfect, and my friends and I had an amazing stay. Not only was it comfortable, nicely decorated, and fully equipped, but the outdoor space complete with a BBQ was a nice touch. We spent the weekend enjoying the lovely scenery, and our dog was even able to come enjoy the trip as well, since there is a fenced dog run. I was nervous that a pet friendly house wouldn't be as nice (which we experienced with other rentals; the fault of the renters and the owner, in my opinion) but I was wrong. It was very clean and tidy; it is clear that everything had been cleaned before we came.
The house is a very short walk from the ski slopes; it just took a couple of minutes to walk. Not having to drive to the slopes is so much easier and more convenient. The other attractions nearby within walking distance and short driving distance also helped to make the trip more fun. Hiking and visiting the nearby zoo were great fun, an the central location of this cabin let us pack more into our day."

"A beautiful new and spacious cabin. We did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and decor of the cabin. Pretty close to everything, especially the village area with easy accessibility to food/groceries. We did not do any local hiking, but did visit one of the beach clubs for a short hike. We were two families with a few kids 7 and under, and there was plenty of room. I was surprised to find out that the stocked DVDs had a couple for the kids to keep them calm for a bit. Also, very fast internet...this alone felt like the comfort of home! We would highly recommend this cabin, and would also visit again ourselves!"

"The cabin is centrally located and within one block of Bear Mountain Ski Resort and the Big Bear Zoo. There is a pick-up for the Mountain Transit at Bear Mountain as well as at the Big Bear Zoo. The Big Bear Trolley also has a pick up at the Big Bear Zoo. In all my years to Big Bear, I have never ridden the Trolley, but the boys went their way on Saturday and the girls went their way, and we needed transportation, so to the Trolley pick-up we went. A fun little mode of transportation! The cabin is clean, nice and has a huge fireplace! There is also a large driveway. The cabin has a large open great room area with a ton of games! Great room and kitchen are located upstairs, making for a nice view of the local area. Master bedroom is also located upstairs with on suite and separate 1/2 bath for the people in the great room area. Huge dining room table and wonderful kitchen with a lot of kitchen items (pots, pans, utensils, tupperware, coffee maker, blender, etc., etc. - the most I have seen in a rental home - so nice!) First floor has two bedrooms with a shared bathroom and laundry room. All bedrooms have their own TV's, which is nice should people want to retreat to their rooms. Garage is huge and has ping pong table. We fit a Toyota Tacoma and Jeep Wrangler in the garage, which was nice, especially if it had snowed. We had a very nice relaxing weekend. We definitely recommend the cabin. Carola & Stephen, the owners, were also fabulous! So prompt on email responses and so kind to offer early check-in and late check-out; prompt deposit refund. Highly recommend this home and these owners. Thanks Carola & Stephen for making this a great weekend - we all had a fantastic time!"

"I recently stayed at this Fawnskin log home during a birthday weekend celebration with friends. The cabin is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. There's tons of room for everyone to lounge and relax. And with three bathrooms/showers, there was hardly any waiting time when getting ready. The kitchen is fully equipped and was roomy enough for all the chefs whipping up our group's taco night! Also, the cabin has a brand new gas grill. The poker table and huge case of chips was perfect for our group's Texas Hold 'Em games! And our mornings were spent relaxing out in the sun room and on the deck enjoying our coffee, breakfast and a gorgeous view of the lake. So peaceful. Our mountain getaway was everything we were looking for! We will definitely be back!!"
