  • Cozy and spacious home

"My family and I were very happy with our stay at this home. I was looking for a place to relax after spending 3 days at Disneyland and this definitely was that right choice. Close to everything you might need (store, adventures, village, and lake) but made you feel secluded as well. Great place to stay with adults and kids."

  • So Nice!

"From the tree lined driveway to the beautiful sunrise and sunset this ranch was the slow down medicine any doctor would order. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend with our three adult children and their spouses. We had a fun time just sitting, relaxing, fishing in the pond, petting the horses, (our grandson loved it), and the ranch dogs were friendly and loved to lay in the shade of the beautiful tree in the front, as we had wine and cheese. It is very close to all shopping and not too far from all the beautiful wineries in the area, but the feel is very secluded. The house is open and inviting, two bedrooms and two full baths down stairs and on the other side is a pool table room with a full master suite upstairs! It was nice to watch the sunrise from the picture window up there. Will we stay here again? Absolutely!"

  • Great Quick Getaway

"Our family was in need of a quick getaway. I was so happy to come across this cabin. Bridget, the owner was a sweet lady full of information and really helped us make this quick getaway a great family vacation.. She was very attentive and easy to reach. Wonderful to rent from. I have four children ages 13, 12, 5 and 9 months. We were excited from the moment we arrived. The cabin is really nice and cozy. We all loved the decor. Its decorated nicely. The middle children stayed in the loft upstairs. My older son had the living room and the pull out sofa. Bridget provided a pack n play which was very convenient for the baby and a baby gate for the stairs. The cabin had more than we expected. We cooked every meal in the kitchen. We enjoyed mornings on the porch and evenings in the hot tub. The hot tub is in a gazebo that has a lake view which is a really nice touch. Big bear was a great vacation for our family. Just down the road is boulder bay and we spent the first day there. We rented a 3 seater kayak and took turns cruising the lake. We did some fishing and my son caught his first fish. Its a great place to catch fish. The second day we took all the kids to the alpine slide. It was great fun for everyone. We rode down the alpine slide and the water slides enjoyed ice cream and the arcade. A few miles away is swim beach. for a small fee you can play on inflatables in the lake. Probably the best place to swim in the lake and the only place that has lifeguards. At night we cruised The Village. The Village has restaurants treats and shopping. We had such a nice relaxing time that we plan on making bearfootin and big bear our yearly summer destination and cant wait to check it out in the winter."

  • Cant wait to go back!

"What a wonderful weekend at the Chalet! We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday here with 4 other couples this past weekend. It was the perfect cabin for entertaining and relaxing, we had plenty of room even with 10 adults, the 3 levels were so well laid out and the outdoor decks were amazing! There is really no reason to leave the cabin, each time we did leave to go out we just wanted to go back! The pool room was awesome, the outdoor decks are to die for, we couldn't get over the lake and mountain views, perfect for hanging out, playing games, eating and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. The kitchen and great room are so open, very comfortable for a large group, playing board games, watching movies and cooking meals. The location couldn't get any better, half of our group walked the 5 minutes to Bear Mountain to go snowboarding, while the other half drove 5 minutes to go sledding. It is also close to the market and any other necessities. Planning arrangements with the owner Judy, couldn't have gone any smoother. She was so nice to work with and always responded promptly to any questions. Overall, such a fun weekend, no complaints, they really thought of everything at the cabin. We definitely want to make this an annual trip and always stay the Chalet!! Thanks Judy for allowing us to stay at your amazing home!"
