Second time stayers!
"My Husband and I booked our first stay in the Lakefront Studio for our 13 year anniversary back in November 2014. The studio was perfect! Everything was very clean and was equipped with just what we needed for our weekend getaway. My Husband and I loved how we were so close to everything. And also being able to walk to the lake was a HUGE BONUS! We liked the location and everything about our stay. So much so that we are planning another trip this coming January 2015. The only thing that was missing was the snow. But that didn't take away from our great experience. And now that there is snow, we are coming back and this time we are bringing our 2 boys along. What better way to start of the New Year and to celebrate our oldest Sons 12th birthday than to be in Big Bear being snow bunnies and making wonderful memories in the New Year! After this stay, I have no doubt that we will be back again soon."

"This house is tucked away off the road and up a driveway. It has a great view of the ski runs on Bear Mountain. There is a porch that wraps around two sides of the house, with tables and chairs outside for those sunny, warmish afternoons in winter. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans and appliances for any cooking need. The living room is broken up into two areas, featuring nice couches, chairs and tables conducive to group chatting. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other two have queen sized beds with a bunk above. (I think kids would really like the upstairs bunk.) Since our group was also a bunch of Internet nerds, I can report this cabin has good wireless connectivity and bandwidth. The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and toiletries. The hot water in the upstairs bathroom was on almost immediately--no waiting around on a cold morning for a shower. The water pressure was really good. Highly recommended as a comfortable retreat!"

"My husband and I stayed here for a long anniversary weekend and everything was great! Very nice remodel, perfect size for the 2 of us. Only complaint was that the pull out couch is quite hard. We got rained on 1 of the days we were there so we ended up spending the whole day curled up watching tv which would have been more comfy on a softer couch but overall a great little cabin!"

"We loved this property! Martin is a great host and there are quite a few nice personal touches to the décor inside the house. The house has a very homey log cabin feel. The main living room on the 2nd floor with the high ceiling is very conducive for large family gatherings. We had a group of 9, 3 kids, plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or private space between the first floor game room, second floor main living room, or the 3rd floor retreat. The kitchen is large with everything you need. The dining table is very large and sat us all with room to spare. There are some games on the premise but we brought our own as well. The BBQ was not working but Martin is aware of that. We were fortunate enough to experience snow during our stay, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the snow falling experience. Looking at snow falling in the backyard through the huge living room windows was truly an awesome experience. The garages can park up to 4 cars though due to the steep slope on the upper garage, we used only the lower garage for parking. The upper garage also housed the ping pong table, which we used. The location is very convenient, very close to local markets and drug stores for all the supplies. And minutes to the village for good eats. Quiet neighborhood with access to a small trail on the hill behind the house. Good view of the lake from top of the hill. We had a really good time at this cozy, yet roomy, mountain retreat. Thank you Martin!"
