"My lady and I can't say enough about Barbara's hospitality and the 2 bedroom Duck House. We will be back!. You will not need anything... Dish TV,DVD, Firewood all included. Its off the beat and path butt steps away from the shops and restaurants'."

"My husband and I travel extensively - over 4 million miles on American Airlines alone all around the world - but this is simply our favorite all time place. The views cannot be matched - certainly there are no better views in Idylwild anywhere. You can walk literally within minutes to great hiking trials from the house. We've seen large deer in the garden multiple times. The kitchen's large Wolf range is a chef's dream. The owner has been superb to deal with. We already have 3 return visits booked this year already. Highest possible rating!!!"

"We had to get away from the 115 degrees from the desert so we looked for a place that would be up in the woods and allow us to bring our 6 month old puppy. We found it at this house. The balcony was a great place to start the experience with the birds and squirrels dancing around and the house itself was simply stated with everything we needed to be comfortable. A quick 3 mile drive to the heart of the city allowed us to take our dog to the Idyllwild Dog Park and allow him to run free. Overall, it was a very nice weekend and I recommend this place to everyone."

"We decided to go to Idyllwild last minute, and one of the reasons we chose this place was the prompt reply we received from the owner. Our son, who lives in NYC, was seeking NATURE, and this place delivered! The cabin was nestled in the pine trees, very quiet...the only sounds we heard were squirrels and birds. One night, we even saw a family of raccoons on the neighbors' porch. Unfortunately, due to our California drought, the creek was dried up, so we didn't see the creek or hear the sounds of running water. You could walk to town, but it's a mile walk. Because it was so hot when we went, we chose to drive! My son and husband found good hiking trails a mile away in the mountains (in the opposite direction). I chose to stay at the cabin and drink my coffee on the deck. :-)"
