"My husband, 3 year old daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin!! It has amazing lakeside views. We spent most of our time on the back deck soaking up the view. I especially loved how well stocked the kitchen was!! I didn't need half the stuff I brought as far as condiments, spices etc. Marylin was very kind and inviting and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be heading back next year!! Such a beautiful spot!!!"

Clean, affordable and relaxing place for our vacation
"Despite our last minute plans, the owner was willing to work with us to see that we were able to rent this great cabin. She was available for questions and made it possible for us to get in with a minimum of fuss. Our two boys loved exploring the surrounding area and Deep Creek was amazing! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was so nice to be away from everyday stresses and enjoy nature. I would recommend this cabin for families. We had a wonderful time."

"We have enjoyed many vacation rentals thought VRBO, including numerous trips to Lake Arrowhead. This is the fifth property we have rented on Palisades Dr. Like the others, the view on to and across the Lake is fabulous. On this trip we had three couples+. The home is clean, spacious and completely comfortable. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with dish, pots pans and utensils. (It seems rare that we didn't have to buy or improvise something for the kitchen.) We found everything to be perfectly comfortable for a long weekend retreat!
The owner was accessible and attentive.
The furnishings and décor are practical. The owner has avoided the appearance (frequent in second homes) of using cast off furniture from their primary home. They also have avoided the tacky mountain souvenir décor that many owners tend toward. On the other hand, the home does not appear to have been professionally decorated, which can be nice but tends to drive up the rental price.
The stairs from the house up to the street level are daunting; but that is true of most all the properties we've rented on the lake side of Palisades Dr. and this property was not the worst in that regard....just something to be aware of for first timers to lakefront properties on Palisades and some other locations at Lake Arrowhead.
We enjoyed using this home and endorse it with enthusiasm."

Great 4th of July weekend - very responsive host and well maintained cabin
"This was our first time renting a cabin in Arrowhead and we really enjoyed the cozy lodge. The place was very clean, all the amenities including super fast WiFi, great kitchen with all the cookware, comfortable rooms, great TV setup, with washer and dryer and a great BBQ grill. All new appliances and the entire house was very clean.....made us feel very comfortable like we were the first people using the place. The place was a setup as a second home for us...everything we have at our house!!
The location is great because it is close to the lake and the village without all the noise. Neighbors were very quiet and the neighborhood was very pleasant.
We took our dog and its nice that there is a nice side area for dogs to go potty... both rear and front patio are closed with gate so dogs will not get out. You can take your dog for walks around the area without running into many cars though you are in the mountains so its uphill on the way back to the lodge with thin air so take it slow.
There are only two items that are a slight setbacks to the place and that is due to design of the place not the hosts fault at all. First, the drive way is very steep and narrow. You really need to be careful parking in the driveway as you can easily hit your car against the wall especially with large car or large SUV...but hey that is life in the mountains...steep driveways. Not the end of the world but people parking there should be prepared for that.
Second there is not outside eating area. The front patio is not wide enough for patio table to eat outside. I guess you can eat in the rear but there is no real view to enjoy in the rear.
Again these are two small issues...everything else was wonderful.
My family loved the place and were sad to leave after our 3 day stay. We will definitely be back soon"
