  • Weekend with the kids

"Truly was a cozy cabin with a fantastic location. Walking distance to the village, outdoor spa & awesome kitchen- We couldn't have asked for more. My only negative feedback would be the trash situation. We had to back track a VERY long distance to get rid of the trash. I would have been happy to pay a trash fee service, so we didn't have to do that. We will be back for sure!!"

  • Spacious & Relaxing

"Thank you for sharing your beautiful & spacious cabin, we had a very enjoyable & relaxing time, with plenty of room for our family members. A lovely view from the decks overlooking the forested area. Would have given a higher rating if the upstairs remote for the ceiling fan worked or a screen door placed in the room so it could be opened for some air. Other than those issues a very pleasant & comfortable stay."

  • Second time stayers!

"My Husband and I booked our first stay in the Lakefront Studio for our 13 year anniversary back in November 2014. The studio was perfect! Everything was very clean and was equipped with just what we needed for our weekend getaway. My Husband and I loved how we were so close to everything. And also being able to walk to the lake was a HUGE BONUS! We liked the location and everything about our stay. So much so that we are planning another trip this coming January 2015. The only thing that was missing was the snow. But that didn't take away from our great experience. And now that there is snow, we are coming back and this time we are bringing our 2 boys along. What better way to start of the New Year and to celebrate our oldest Sons 12th birthday than to be in Big Bear being snow bunnies and making wonderful memories in the New Year! After this stay, I have no doubt that we will be back again soon."

"Like you may be, I’m the one who’s usually spearheading the choice of location and property for our get-togethers. It’s not an easy job, is it?!? Hope this review helps you. I must admit that I initially undervalued the need for the home owner’s cooperativeness and attention as I searched for a property for our reunion. Boy, am I glad I came around! The owners of Plateau Edge are the most friendly and responsive of any home or property I’ve ever rented. Our group of around a dozen (11 this time) adults gets together for a “mini-HS reunion” every couple of years or so and I’m often involved with (or responsible for) selecting a location and home for our three day stay. We want a nice property with at least 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a large, well equipped kitchen. Here’s how we “found” everything: THE HOUSE: What a neat place! Plenty of room, interest, and privacy. Super clean and comfortable and exactly what we wanted to give that feel of livability. No pretentiousness, just perfection. SLEEPING: Plenty of beds, rooms, blankets, areas, etc, etc. Plenty of bathrooms too! This home could have accommodated twice as many (kids too) as we had. EATING: Chef Laura was outstanding! The kitchen and dining room were focal points of our fun. We were so well fed that we felt like we were on a cruise ship. Laura’s generosity was unforgettable. PLAY: Wow, more fun than we bargained for! The hot tubs, pool, decks, and the “barn!” Rain or shine, there’s plenty of room to play indoor or “outdoor” games. We used the barn for playing Bag Toss, Ladder toss, and ping pong. And the Santa Rosa Plateau was just down the street for great hikes! RELAXING: There were numerous areas to just relax. You could get off by yourself or lounge with others both indoors and out. Very comfy places! And the views? Awesome. Snow-capped mountains and green valleys and rolling hills were all around us. All in all, I feel lucky to have found this property. Seemed like everything was provided. Wish we’d stayed longer. We all loved it and would definitely come again! Great, great place to stay and play!"
