  • Mini Get Away

"My family came here for a one night stay, 4 adults and 1 dog. The cabin had more than enough space for us, in fact we only went downstairs to see what the dormer looked like and didn't use that space at all. It was a 5-10 minute drive to Mountain High West with no traffic and about a 15 minute walk to downtown. We didn't have enough time to go hiking because we liked the cabin so much and wanted to stay in it as long as possible. Arlene was very pleasant to work with. After I emailed her, she responded within an hour, then we were on the phone for about 10 minutes and my whole trip was planned and paid for. She is also very hospitable and states you can use or eat anything that is found in the cabin. My deposit refund was also returned in 48 hours like stated in the contract. When we got there we all agreed we had the prettiest cabin on the block. The decorations were plentiful and inviting. Created a cozy feel. When we arrived the indoor mini christmas trees were already lit, and the fake fireplace was on. There is also a closet with cards, movies, and board games. We spent a lot of time in the dining room as it was comfortable and spacious. There were plenty of plates, cups, and silverware, probably more than enough for a group of 10. Bedrooms very cozy, and baby items are also available: crib, bumbo, and so many extra blankets. We didn't need to use any of it because the way the beds were themselves are enough for us. Note: in the description it states king and queen beds, but I think it is a queen and a full but we only had two couples so it didn't bother us one bit. Both bathrooms were clean and also decorated very nicely. The cabin may seem dim at first but you can increase the light intensity or dim to your liking. There are directions for everything (how to use the light switches, places to go to in town, hiking tour guide, even babysitters)! Will stay again!!!"

  • Great cozy cabin get-away

"We spent a lovely relaxing week-end here with our daughter and her family (a total of 4 adults 3 kids and a dog) and loved it. One of my 6 year old granddaughters said "I love this cabin can we live here?" The cabin was very clean and well equipped. We loved eating at the large built in table on the back porch. Good location, close enough to everything but far enough away from the main drag to be quiet."

  • Great venue

"We really enjoyed this place. I've been to several places to stay when I go to Big Bear and this is by far the best. The place was very nice for the 4 of us. There were notes from the owners about how to use everything including internet, tv, dishes, etc. Highly recommended. Chris"

  • Stay here!!!!

"Alesia is wonderful to work with! She is totally professional and always only a phone call or text message away! This property is so much nicer than it looks in the photos! When I walked inside my first thought was, "Oh my gosh this place is so gorgeous!" The awesome parts: - Being on the deck feels like you are on the forest moon of Endor. It is surrounded by tall trees, and it's very private. The patio furniture is all new, and comfortable especially the large out door couch and ottoman. It gets the perfect mix of sun and shade so you can tan out there, read or bbq and not be too hot or cold. I can not emphasize enough how nice the deck is! - The kitchen had cleaning supplies so after I cooked dinner I could wash dishes, wipe off the counters and clean the floors. Maybe I'm a neat freak though. - The appliances were all good quality, stainless steel, clean and nice. - The kitchen has everything you will need to make dinner and even some plastic containers to keep leftovers. And there is a really nice dishwasher! The kitchen is spacious and it was great to cook in, plenty of room for two people to cook dinner together. - The two bathrooms both had showers and bathtubs that seemed recently updated. There was plenty of hot water and extra towels are upstairs in the bedroom closets. Everything in the bathrooms (and entire place!) was very clean and new looking. - There is a full sized washer and drier in a separate room outside on the lower level so you can wash clothes and beach towels if you are staying for a while. - Cell phone reception is sketchy up on the mountain but this place has cordless home phones and wifi so you can stay in touch. - Alesia sent me incredibly detailed directions with photos of important landmarks, which was a total lifesaver as my GPS lost signal after I left the main road. - The 2 upstairs bedrooms both have ceiling fans and when the windows are both open its really cool in there even on a hot day. - The beds are super comfortable! - The location feels secluded but in reality its very close to the lake and Lake Arrowhead Village. So driving to restaurants and the grocery store only takes a few minutes. Cons: - There aren't any, this place is so nice and exactly as described, actually even nicer. The driveway is a little steep and I'm afraid of heights so I was scared driving up it (and getting back out!) at first but it's totally doable. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, I hope I can stay her again!"
