  • Warm and accommodating host, cabin was a dream come true

"Arlene, you went above and beyond in accommodating my requests. I appreciated your warmth and kindness almost as much as I appreciated the uncredible accommodations! I knew from your pictures that the cabin was special but I didn't expect so many touches like a fully equipped kitchen, family photos and knick knacks that obviously mean a lot to your family. Your trust was heartwarming. We admired so many of your touches and it inspired respect and admiration in us both. We can't wait to come back to this beautiful cabin home!"

  • Loved This Cabin!

"This is a wonderful cabin! We came for the 4th of July celebration and had a great time! It is walking distance to the main road with many restaurants near by. We chose this cabin because it is a one story and my mom was with us and she has a very hard time with stairs. So this cabin was perfect! It was very roomy and fit the 6 of us just fine. And it was great to have 2 bathrooms which were both very nice. The kitchen was great too! Jason was very nice and helpful with all our questions. We would highly recommend staying here!"

  • excellent stay, great location!

"we stayed at this great condo which was 5 min from the lake. it was exceptionally clean, well maintained and was in a quiet complex near Stater Brothers supermarket. Because the lake is private and the boats are privately owned, you should get a beach pass to access the lake, which we forgot to do. Otherwise, this place beats staying at the hotel."

  • The seclusion and owner set this property apart from the rest, A+...

"We stayed at Tony's cabin in March of 2013 with two small kids. If you are looking for a more resort like property, or a jacuzzi deck this is not the property for you, this is a property for people that want a CABIN. The wood burning stove does an excellent job of heating the cabin evenly and keeping it cozy even when the snow flies outside (we had one night with snow). A few things we learned that will come in handy to future visitors... Don't overpack, the cabin has plenty of utensils, pots, pans and so on and in the end we were glad we brought some paper plates and cups so we didn't have to wash dishes, but most everything you need as far as kitchenware is there. Firewood is everywhere (we brought some). The cabin is isolated and quiet and you will sleep great, town in close enough if you need something. Just understand this is a rustic property, there is hot water for quick showers, but this is a simple few frills property. When we drove up at first we were a little put off by some clutter around the cabin, but understand the owner is building an addition so that part is a work in progress and explains some of the tools about. Super nice owner, easy to deal with and very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again. Great scenery, two kids and we never turned the TV on once."

Running Springs Travel Tips

Running Springs Vacation Rentals Are a Gateway to Nature

If you love nature, an escape to the San Bernardino Mountains is just the vacation you need. Miles and miles of the San Bernardino Forest surround the small town of Running Springs, and from here you can access dozens of area hiking trails, including the Alder Creek Trail, the Government Canyon Trail, or for a real challenge on a nine mile stretch of often uphill paths, check out Dry Lake Trail.

On some trails you can hitch a ride on a horse for another layer of adventure. Bring binoculars so you can bird watch or a plant book to identify wildflowers and native foliage.

The Moonridge Animal Park has over 80 animal species, and provides educational programs and displays where children—and adults—can learn about and experience the wonder of nature up close. At the Big Bear Discovery Center, visitors can wander the exhibits, try hands on activities, and speak to naturalists about the variety of local plant and animal life.

Easy Access to Big Bear Lake from Running Springs Lodging

Big Bear Lake resort is not quite a half hour away from Running Springs vacation rentals, which means after just a short drive, you can enjoy the culture, the activities, and the gorgeous scenery of Big Bear Lake. A beautiful lakeside and mountain shadowed community, Big Bear Lake boasts high class art galleries, five star resort restaurants, and excellent shops for unique gifts or sport equipment.
