  • Stay here!!!!

"Alesia is wonderful to work with! She is totally professional and always only a phone call or text message away! This property is so much nicer than it looks in the photos! When I walked inside my first thought was, "Oh my gosh this place is so gorgeous!" The awesome parts: - Being on the deck feels like you are on the forest moon of Endor. It is surrounded by tall trees, and it's very private. The patio furniture is all new, and comfortable especially the large out door couch and ottoman. It gets the perfect mix of sun and shade so you can tan out there, read or bbq and not be too hot or cold. I can not emphasize enough how nice the deck is! - The kitchen had cleaning supplies so after I cooked dinner I could wash dishes, wipe off the counters and clean the floors. Maybe I'm a neat freak though. - The appliances were all good quality, stainless steel, clean and nice. - The kitchen has everything you will need to make dinner and even some plastic containers to keep leftovers. And there is a really nice dishwasher! The kitchen is spacious and it was great to cook in, plenty of room for two people to cook dinner together. - The two bathrooms both had showers and bathtubs that seemed recently updated. There was plenty of hot water and extra towels are upstairs in the bedroom closets. Everything in the bathrooms (and entire place!) was very clean and new looking. - There is a full sized washer and drier in a separate room outside on the lower level so you can wash clothes and beach towels if you are staying for a while. - Cell phone reception is sketchy up on the mountain but this place has cordless home phones and wifi so you can stay in touch. - Alesia sent me incredibly detailed directions with photos of important landmarks, which was a total lifesaver as my GPS lost signal after I left the main road. - The 2 upstairs bedrooms both have ceiling fans and when the windows are both open its really cool in there even on a hot day. - The beds are super comfortable! - The location feels secluded but in reality its very close to the lake and Lake Arrowhead Village. So driving to restaurants and the grocery store only takes a few minutes. Cons: - There aren't any, this place is so nice and exactly as described, actually even nicer. The driveway is a little steep and I'm afraid of heights so I was scared driving up it (and getting back out!) at first but it's totally doable. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, I hope I can stay her again!"

  • Frequent Flyer Endorsement

"We have enjoyed many vacation rentals thought VRBO, including numerous trips to Lake Arrowhead. This is the fifth property we have rented on Palisades Dr. Like the others, the view on to and across the Lake is fabulous. On this trip we had three couples+. The home is clean, spacious and completely comfortable. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with dish, pots pans and utensils. (It seems rare that we didn't have to buy or improvise something for the kitchen.) We found everything to be perfectly comfortable for a long weekend retreat! The owner was accessible and attentive. The furnishings and décor are practical. The owner has avoided the appearance (frequent in second homes) of using cast off furniture from their primary home. They also have avoided the tacky mountain souvenir décor that many owners tend toward. On the other hand, the home does not appear to have been professionally decorated, which can be nice but tends to drive up the rental price. The stairs from the house up to the street level are daunting; but that is true of most all the properties we've rented on the lake side of Palisades Dr. and this property was not the worst in that regard....just something to be aware of for first timers to lakefront properties on Palisades and some other locations at Lake Arrowhead. We enjoyed using this home and endorse it with enthusiasm."

  • Great location, Great yard, lots of space.

"This house has a perfect yard for dogs and kids to run and play. Once you pull your car in the drive, you can shut the gate behind you and let kids and pets run free. My dogs loved running around the yard. Located right by the Bear Mountain and right off Moonridge where a few new shops/restaurants have been added. Overall this house was much better than the "average big bear rental"."

  • Perfect fit!

"A group of my girlfriends and I spent an amazing weekend here while in town for Mudderella. What a great house! The booking was seamless, Gina answered all my questions and was a pleasure to deal with. Upon arrival at the house we were welcomed with a beautiful basket of fruit and goodies and got the grand tour from Mary who was lovely! The front porch is a wonderful place to unwind, and I loved the country feel while being only minutes from town. Tennis, basketball, swimming pool, hot tub, all on a huge lot with tons of privacy, this place has it all! We had such a fabulous girls weekend, we may make this an annual trip! I highly recommend this property!"
