  • Amazing Birthday Weekend

"The house is amazing. You will not be disappointed. I just returned from a weekend trip with 9 of my friends to celebrate my birthday. The house is exactly as pictured. The decorations are very nice and the house is cozy. The living room couches are comfortable and the fireplace creates the perfect atmosphere. The bedrooms are all fully furnished and the beds are very comfortable. The master bedroom is huge and has its own fireplace, shower, tub, and bathroom. The game room is great with a pool table, fireplace, and big screen tv. Unfortunately, the foosball table was not setup and could not be used. Hopefully it is setup for the future guests. There is a ping pong table in the garage but my group did not use it. There are decks off of each room, but the top two are the ones with the views. The views are amazing. Off to the right you can see the lake, and off to the left you can see the mountains. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck in the morning with some coffee, and enjoy the sun and the view. There is a BBQ on the main deck but my group did not use it. There are plenty of blankets and towels in the linen room. All in all, the place was great and my group really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful with my inquiries. I would definitely recommend this house to a friend. Our group was planning on returning to the arrowhead/big bear area in 1.5 months for another bday celebration, and I will likely chose this property again."

  • exceeded by far our expectations

"Nice and quiet neighborhood, well localized for our needs of south California MX trip. Could reach most tracks in less that an hour. After a race/practice day it was a plus relaxing in the Spa, and swiming pool. The house is spacious and nicely decorated , with all appliances you can need. Plus extras like shampoo an kitchenware as well, not to mention the pool table in the living area. The owner is very committed and helpful, making we fell very comfortable."

  • Great getaway home for families

"We rented this home from Dec28-Jan1st 2014. From the get-go, Karin, the owner was upfront and friendly and provided all the necessary information for renting the property. We rented the house for 2 families of 4, including 4 toddlers. The house was clean and welcoming with two bedrooms, a full bath, well-equipped kitchen and living and dining room on the main level (second floor) and 1 bedroom, full bath and living room area and laundry on the lower level (first floor). Linens and paper goods provided. We found the setup to be perfect for two families as one took the top floor and the other the bottom floor and we could have some privacy when needed. The bottom living room also provided room for two pack and plays to be set up. There is abundant heat in the house during the winter. We played out in the yard (which is steep so toddlers need to be attended out there..) and took advantage of the toys and huge VHS collection provided by the owners. It was a great home away from home for us. We cooked family meals and had family dinner every night (we even grilled out) which was a lot of fun. The owner was quick to respond to all questions that we asked during our stay. The few cons include the very steep and pretty much unusable driveway (even with 4-wheel drive we scraped up our bumper on our Subaru outback so only useful if you have a high-rise 4-wheel-drive vehicle) and parking along the street is tight. Also, the carpeted stairs inside are steep so toddlers need to be attended on them if they aren't well trained to use stairs. Luckily, there is a door at the top of the stairs that can be locked to contain curious toddlers. Security deposit was refunded promptly. Thanks so much for a great vacation!"

  • Great family cabin

"The cabin was perfect for our group - separate beds for four teenagers was a must. Very spacious master bedroom. We cooked most of our meals - kitchen had everything we needed. Location is great - nice quiet area. Owner was very helpful. Internet access came right up. Jacuzzi was enjoyable. Used DVD player to watch some movies. Loved zip lining, horseback riding, alpine slide, waterside, hiking, antique car show, kayaking. Highly recommend this cabin."

Inland Empire Travel Tips

Inland Empire Vacation Rentals for a Great Trip

Inland Empire in California is a beautiful area located to the north of San Diego County and just west of Palm Springs. Surrounded by hills and mountain ranges with a few natural passes, the area measures around 60 miles from north to south and 50 miles from east to west. It is one of the few places where you are less than an hour’s drive from both the beach and the ski resorts. The impressive peaks around the Inland Empire area reach over 10,000 feet, making it a great area for outdoor activities throughout the year. Keep an eye open for the wild donkeys too!

The Major Advantages of Inland Empire Vacation Rentals

Choosing a vacation rental home that is right for you and your family is one of the most important parts of your vacation. Look for a rental vacation home that is in the right location to cut down on unnecessary driving and close to all the amenities that your family may be looking for. If you plan on dining out, local towns nearby with a choice of restaurants are important. For those planning to cook their own meals, a supermarket may be more essential. Choose a rental home which has sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms to give everyone their own space, preferably without using the pull-out sofa in the living area. Finally, look for an Inland Empire vacation home that has the amenities you require. A hot tub, game room, children’s play area or even kayaks and bicycles may all provided with some vacation homes, making them excellent values.

Things to do From Your Inland Empire Lodging

The area around Inland Empire offers a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors. Hiking in the hills is a popular pastime along with horseback riding and mountain biking. Idyllwild lives up to its charming name as it is nestled in the pine forests of the San Jacinto mountains. The town is quiet and peaceful with specialty shops and locally owned restaurants. It is a great place for taking some hikes into the mountains too. Close to the town, the Tahquitz and Suicide Rocks attract both amateur and professional rock climbers.

One final popular recommendation is a trip to Big Bear Lake rentals where boating, sailing, kayaking and other watersports can be enjoyed in this beautiful unspoiled area. Close by is Big Bear Park which is home to a number of rescued animals.
