  • The seclusion and owner set this property apart from the rest, A+...

"We stayed at Tony's cabin in March of 2013 with two small kids. If you are looking for a more resort like property, or a jacuzzi deck this is not the property for you, this is a property for people that want a CABIN. The wood burning stove does an excellent job of heating the cabin evenly and keeping it cozy even when the snow flies outside (we had one night with snow). A few things we learned that will come in handy to future visitors... Don't overpack, the cabin has plenty of utensils, pots, pans and so on and in the end we were glad we brought some paper plates and cups so we didn't have to wash dishes, but most everything you need as far as kitchenware is there. Firewood is everywhere (we brought some). The cabin is isolated and quiet and you will sleep great, town in close enough if you need something. Just understand this is a rustic property, there is hot water for quick showers, but this is a simple few frills property. When we drove up at first we were a little put off by some clutter around the cabin, but understand the owner is building an addition so that part is a work in progress and explains some of the tools about. Super nice owner, easy to deal with and very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again. Great scenery, two kids and we never turned the TV on once."

  • Wonderful property and location

"We stayed at this cabin for 4 days with 6 adults. Someone was there to meet us when we arrived to show us how everything worked. The location of the property is great - in the middle of the forrest, walking distance from downtown, and right on Strawberry Creek. The Cabin was very large, and beautiful (the photos don't do it justice), and there several distinct areas such as dining room, office, game room and several decks, a hammock, swings, and fenced-in area for dogs. You can hike directly from house into mountains. We came with senior citizens and teenagers, and there was something for everybody! We really loved it, and hope to come back."

  • Lots of Room!

"We had our entire family stay a long weekend here, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There's lots of space, we enjoyed the game room and the hot tub, and took several nice walks in the beautiful neighborhood. We all agreed, though, that it could use updating throughout. The driveway is steep and curved, so backing out was a bit difficult. The rental process through Destination Big Bear was smooth - thank you!"

  • family annivesary celebration

"We had the most wonderful time. The property was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved every moment and have the most wonderful memories/pictures. The children had so much fun they were crying when we left and did not want it to end. We would love to come back again."

Inland Empire Travel Tips

Inland Empire Vacation Rentals for a Great Trip

Inland Empire in California is a beautiful area located to the north of San Diego County and just west of Palm Springs. Surrounded by hills and mountain ranges with a few natural passes, the area measures around 60 miles from north to south and 50 miles from east to west. It is one of the few places where you are less than an hour’s drive from both the beach and the ski resorts. The impressive peaks around the Inland Empire area reach over 10,000 feet, making it a great area for outdoor activities throughout the year. Keep an eye open for the wild donkeys too!

The Major Advantages of Inland Empire Vacation Rentals

Choosing a vacation rental home that is right for you and your family is one of the most important parts of your vacation. Look for a rental vacation home that is in the right location to cut down on unnecessary driving and close to all the amenities that your family may be looking for. If you plan on dining out, local towns nearby with a choice of restaurants are important. For those planning to cook their own meals, a supermarket may be more essential. Choose a rental home which has sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms to give everyone their own space, preferably without using the pull-out sofa in the living area. Finally, look for an Inland Empire vacation home that has the amenities you require. A hot tub, game room, children’s play area or even kayaks and bicycles may all provided with some vacation homes, making them excellent values.
