  • Wonderful vacation at comfortable family home

"What a wonderful vacation we had over Christmas at this amazing, cosy and comfortable mountain cabin. Even with new snow, access was no problem. On Christmas Eve it snowed some more, making Christmas Day picture perfect, with breathtaking mountain views from all the large double glazed windows. The cabin is furnished to a very high standard with a spacious, well equipped modern kitchen. A quick car ride takes you to great skiing and local shops /restaurants. The hardest part was leaving this memorable and welcoming family home."

  • Wonderful cabin with all you need...

"We stayed here for week in July and had a wonderful time. This house has everything you'd need and more. The medicine cabinet even had Benadryl which I needed after being stung by a bee. The view from the deck is wonderful, especially the days it rained and the mist was rising on the opposite hillside. Yes, it rained in the summer. We were at Squaw Vally at the Wanderlust convention one day and a dark cloud rolled in. First it was a drizzle, then hard rain, then hail!! On the drive back to Alpine we saw snow along the road, mid July! The temperature dropped from the 80's to 53 degrees. We rode mountain and road bikes, hiked, and rafted the Truckee. We told the owners that it gets hot in the afternoon and they have since supplied fans to keep the air moving. Inga seemed very attentive of our needs. The price is very reasonable for what you get. We'll be back."

  • Amazing place to stay, in an amazing place

"Our family has been to the Tahoe area many times. We love this location, the condo is wonderfully clean and comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend this condo to anyone that enjoys quiet evenings after enjoying all that the Tahoe area has to offer. I would absolutely love to see this place in the winter."

  • Comfortable home, plenty of space!

"We vacationed at this property with a wide age range of family and friends, including a toddler, teenagers, young couples, and grandmas. There was plenty of space for everyone! Although not depicted in the photos or description, this property had enough room for dining together... a large dinning table for 8, a breakfast nook for 4, and seats at the kitchen counter. Almost any item we could need was available in the kitchen except for chef's knives. There were also many towels on hand for showering and hut tub use. The backyard was small but very enjoyable, particularly the hot tub. Although there are trails behind the property, it takes some climbing through brush and fallen trees for a few yards before you can see or reach them. The property is extremely close to rafting on the Truckee River (though no rafting while we were in town due to drought.) Horseback riding also very close by. Some caveats: internet and cell phone reception are VERY poor and unreliable. Also, families with toddlers beware: standard tension baby gates do not seem to snugly fit the stairway entrance."
