  • Comfortable home, plenty of space!

"We vacationed at this property with a wide age range of family and friends, including a toddler, teenagers, young couples, and grandmas. There was plenty of space for everyone! Although not depicted in the photos or description, this property had enough room for dining together... a large dinning table for 8, a breakfast nook for 4, and seats at the kitchen counter. Almost any item we could need was available in the kitchen except for chef's knives. There were also many towels on hand for showering and hut tub use. The backyard was small but very enjoyable, particularly the hot tub. Although there are trails behind the property, it takes some climbing through brush and fallen trees for a few yards before you can see or reach them. The property is extremely close to rafting on the Truckee River (though no rafting while we were in town due to drought.) Horseback riding also very close by. Some caveats: internet and cell phone reception are VERY poor and unreliable. Also, families with toddlers beware: standard tension baby gates do not seem to snugly fit the stairway entrance."

  • Great place and very close to Alpine Meadows

"This place is unbelievably close to Alpine Meadows, like a 5 minute drive max. It has lots of space (slept 8 no problem), a nice kitchen, good bathrooms...all in all a great rental for a very fair price."

  • Amazing place to stay, in an amazing place

"Our family has been to the Tahoe area many times. We love this location, the condo is wonderfully clean and comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend this condo to anyone that enjoys quiet evenings after enjoying all that the Tahoe area has to offer. I would absolutely love to see this place in the winter."

  • Lovely Getaway!

"Our family of fourteen (sixteen if you count the pups!) recently enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely chalet at Alpine Meadows. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the two decks, the hot tub, cooking our meals in the gourmet kitchen, and relaxing and lounging in the beautiful family room. There were enough beds to suit us all including a bed for on of our four legged guests. Everything was perfect, from the weather to the gorgeous mountain setting, to the lovely responses and emails from our hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Conveniently located and close to Truckee as well as Tahoe, we would highly recommend this home for a fantastic getaway."

From welcoming cabins to lavish homes, Alpine Meadows vacation rentals are nestled comfortably in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. This exclusive area is surrounded by stunning, panoramic views of the forest and snow-capped mountain peaks.

Year-Round Fun at Alpine Meadows Vacation Rentals

Only steps from your Lake Tahoe West Shore lodging rests the famous Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. Over 2,400 acres of mountain are covered in fluffy, white powder waiting for snowmobiles, sleds, skis, and snowboards. Thirteen lifts whisk you to the top of the mountain where you can choose from the 100 ski trails that wind through open bowls, forests, and glades.

Visiting in warmer weather? Choose Alpine Meadows stables for scenic, guided tours through Tahoe National Forest; there are also pony rides for littler ones. Tahoe Whitewater Tours will take you on the ride of your life when your small, intimate group of up to six people embarks on whitewater tour through rapids. Their guides have extensive skill and are trained in water rescue for your safety. There are full and half-day tours of rapids up to class four. The high adventure tour is not for the faint of heart; it's a heart-pounding, strenuous ride over class four and five rapids.

Alpine Meadows Cabins: Nature Awaits

A visit to Lake Tahoe would not be complete without taking in the beauty of Emerald Bay State Park, where all stages of mountain creation can be seen. The short hike down the beautiful trail to Eagle Falls is well worth it to see these 140-foot cascades that are broken into two segments. When your perfect Lake Tahoe day is complete, return to your Alpine Meadows vacation rental for a quiet, laid-back evening.
