"We had a wonderful time. The kitchen was really well equipped (much better than most vacation rentals) and we used the large deck for morning coffee and large group dinners. As others have mentioned, the floor plan is a little funky, but that's what I expect in a Tahoe cabin. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults, and the close proximity to the beach and hiking trails is what it's all about. We loved it."

"Wonderful quiet spot with in an alpine forest setting, easy walk down to a truly fantastic, very large pool (the water was the best temperature possible), two hot tubs, boccie ball court, tennis court. I feel a little guilty we stayed so close to the condo but the kids were having such a great time!
Solid, classic Lake Tahoe retreat.
Old school 80's or 90's art? Check.
Classic sculptured shag carpet, including carpeted stairs? Yep!
Newer Lazy Boy with a broken foot rest/side lever? Yep, but come on... that literally screams Lake Tahoe Old School. It seriously made me smile and I was rather happy about it.
Great BBQ on a small deck, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of linens and extra pillows (sorry for the pillow fort building rearrangement of the pillow distribution).
Would totally stay again."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this home! My sister and I (along with our families) took our parents to Lake Tahoe to celebrate their 50th anniversary, so we wanted it to be special and memorable of course. For 6 adults and 4 children, it was a perfect amount of space. Two bedrooms including the master suite are upstairs, and two bedrooms are on the main floor (including the "kids" room with bunkbeds.) 3 bathrooms total, so each family had their own bathroom, which was exactly what we wanted! The home is very spacious but also "cabin-y" and comfortable, clean and uncluttered. There are three huge "mudrooms" at each of the entryways which are perfect if you've got snow boots in the winter.
The washer & dryer were convenient to have available on the main floor. The kitchen had nice dishware, enough for 12, and plenty of cooking tools. The owners provided some paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) and we were able to stock up for the week at the Safeway just up the road.
I was surprised (and concerned) that homes in Lake Tahoe generally don't have air conditioning. During the day we had one or two main windows open, but it was very pleasant - not too hot at all. At night it gets to be 40 degrees or so, and we left the windows open then, too. It was great!
Since there's so much to do at Lake Tahoe, we didn't spend the majority of our time in Carnelian Bay, although there is a nice beach area within a few minutes' walk. Mini golf, a pizza place, a laundromat and a 7-11 are just down the hill from the house. The neighborhood was quiet while we were there mid-June. There is a cabin on each side of this home and the yard is woodsy. The large balcony off the main living area is beautiful, overlooking the neighborhood and a peek of the lake. There's also another balcony upstairs off both bedrooms. which overlooks the backyard/woods.
The owner was very responsive to any questions and needs. She was very easy to work with, so we felt very secure planning our vacation."

"Good value for the price. Had everything we needed. The only things I would recommend is a TV in the two bedrooms. Some people can't sleep without a TV. Also only one working fan in upstairs bedroom."
