  • A Beautiful Stay At Lake Tahoe

"My family and I had planned this vacation 8 months in advance to celebrate my oldest nephews 18th. birthday. My Mother was a big part in making all this happen, after all, it was her first grandchild :). Two weeks before our vacation my mother passed away. This was heart wrenching for us all. My mom made me promise that we would attend this vacation even if anything happened to her, as she new her health was failing. When we arrived to Whit's end the comforts of the cabin itself made us feel so peaceful and the area was so serene you couldn't help but to relax. The rooms were perfect and fit all of us so well. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub and Sauna and the guys loved the pool table. Definitely one of our best vacations ever. We made priceless memories there at Whit's End and we will treasure them forever. Thank You all ~ It has been a pleasure "The Whole experience, from booking to the very end was great" Great People service !!!!! See you again Soon. :)"

  • Perfect Tahoe retreat - ideal for accessing the mountains

"My partner and I, along with another couple, stayed at the apartment over the Christmas holiday. We were there principally to snowboard at Squaw and Alpine but also had a few days at Northstar too. Carnelian Bay is approximately 20 minutes from all three mountains by car, which is pretty handy! Tahoe City is ten minutes drive away, is a nice small town, and contains everything you may need while on a self-catering vacation, as well as some decent pubs and places to eat. The apartment itself is great! Before we even arrived I was sent a detailed information pack on the place. It's situated in a very quiet piece of woodland set back a little from, but with views of, Lake Tahoe. Upon arrival the place was very well presented and nice and warm. We instantly felt cozy and at home. A quick tour around revealed a really well stocked apartment with plenty of towels, bedding, toilet rolls, etc, as well as something important to myself - a well equipped kitchen. There was everything needed to cook most nights, including a slap-up Christmas dinner! Other things worth noting are the log fire, decent TV, comfy bed and sofa (bed), free WIFI and washer/dryer. Guests can also enjoy the club house, which houses outdoor hot tubs (perfect after a days skiing/snowboarding!), sauna and a pool table. This is situated five minutes walk down the hill. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and I would definitely go back myself, summer or winter. Many thanks, Nick (UK)"

  • Great ending to our Winter Break

"We had a great experience at the Lynnwood Chalet. We were drawn to the property for the snow run in the back yard, and it did not disappoint. The house was very clean, which was a huge plus for us. Our children enjoyed the game room, and my husband and I enjoyed the calm and serene surroundings. We ate at the Gar restaraunt our first night there, and they has the BEST burger and crab cakes. We ate in the rest of our stay and found the Lynnwood Chalet Kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking gear for each meal. I was also impressed with the level of thoughtfulness given by the owners for their guests. They had eatery information posted along with emergency contacts such as local hospitals. Cabinets were labeled and little amenities were found in the kitchen and bathrooms. Personal notes were left in albums which provided a rich history if the property's journey. We also enjoyed reading about Tahoe's history as provided. We are thankful for such a wonderful family experience. We would recommend this property to future families. We hope to return next Winter. • Great house, comfortable for 2 families

"We had a great stay at the house. We were 2 families with 5 kids so appreciated all the open space. The living room and bedrooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed the use of the hot tub every evening. The house was central to everything we did while up in Tahoe. The owners were lovely to deal with, even accommodating a late check out. Would highly recommend to families."
