The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Many years my family enjoyed summer vacations in carnelian Bay Area. We then switched to the very crowded west shore. We returned to carnelian this year and gloried in the many qualities of this area. Olive Branch rental price is a superior choice than a gated west shore community. The home itself is just as advertised. It is/was lovely with more space than a condo. My grandsons enjoyed lots of golf at magic castle and old brockway. The front and back decks offer sun or shade. Management responded immediately to a very minor issue. Patton beach is filled with dogs and their owners--- an easy walk unless loaded down with umbrellas and beach chairs. Property very clean with all amenities. Love. Loved our stay there."

"My family and I had planned this vacation 8 months in advance to celebrate
my oldest nephews 18th. birthday. My Mother was a big part in making all
this happen, after all, it was her first grandchild :). Two weeks
before our vacation my mother passed away. This was heart wrenching for us
all. My mom made me promise that we would attend this vacation even if
anything happened to her, as she new her health was failing. When we
arrived to Whit's end the comforts of the cabin itself made us feel so
peaceful and the area was so serene you couldn't help but to relax. The
rooms were perfect and fit all of us so well. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub
and Sauna and the guys loved the pool table. Definitely one of our best
vacations ever. We made priceless memories there at Whit's End and we will
treasure them forever. Thank You all ~ It has been a pleasure "The Whole
experience, from booking to the very end was great" Great People service
!!!!! See you again Soon. :)"

"We had an excellent stay at Grinning Bear cabin. Everything was super clean and well taken care of. I loved the full kitchen with tons of appliances, and the complimentary wine, coffee, tea and doggie treats. Well stocked with toiletries too. Joanna, the house manager, lives across the street and was super friendly and helpful. We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood but close to town. We can't wait to come back for a longer visit!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this home! My sister and I (along with our families) took our parents to Lake Tahoe to celebrate their 50th anniversary, so we wanted it to be special and memorable of course. For 6 adults and 4 children, it was a perfect amount of space. Two bedrooms including the master suite are upstairs, and two bedrooms are on the main floor (including the "kids" room with bunkbeds.) 3 bathrooms total, so each family had their own bathroom, which was exactly what we wanted! The home is very spacious but also "cabin-y" and comfortable, clean and uncluttered. There are three huge "mudrooms" at each of the entryways which are perfect if you've got snow boots in the winter.
The washer & dryer were convenient to have available on the main floor. The kitchen had nice dishware, enough for 12, and plenty of cooking tools. The owners provided some paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) and we were able to stock up for the week at the Safeway just up the road.
I was surprised (and concerned) that homes in Lake Tahoe generally don't have air conditioning. During the day we had one or two main windows open, but it was very pleasant - not too hot at all. At night it gets to be 40 degrees or so, and we left the windows open then, too. It was great!
Since there's so much to do at Lake Tahoe, we didn't spend the majority of our time in Carnelian Bay, although there is a nice beach area within a few minutes' walk. Mini golf, a pizza place, a laundromat and a 7-11 are just down the hill from the house. The neighborhood was quiet while we were there mid-June. There is a cabin on each side of this home and the yard is woodsy. The large balcony off the main living area is beautiful, overlooking the neighborhood and a peek of the lake. There's also another balcony upstairs off both bedrooms. which overlooks the backyard/woods.
The owner was very responsive to any questions and needs. She was very easy to work with, so we felt very secure planning our vacation."
