"Great view, location. Just wanted to sit and watch the lake. House and great separation of space for sleeping. Comfortable living room. Everything we needed. And the dogs loved it, too!"

  • Excellent Stay

"Our stay was great. The house is comfortable with most amenities readily available. The location is ideal for those who enjoy a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. A car is a must. The house is ideal for up to 2 couples and 4 children (4 adults and 4 children). The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thank you again, Laura!"

  • Excellent, Warm and Inviting Home

"My family and I stayed at the Hansel House for a week and had a wonderful experience in this home. All of our beds were extremely comfortable, the home was clean, spacious and accommodated all of our needs. Our two boys, ages 5 and 7 had an absolute blast playing around the property. The location was close to the swimming pools, bingo night at trout creek, Donnor Lake, and Truckee (such a fun mountain town). The owners were very easy to work with and I felt like the price was beyond fair and worth every penny. Thank you Hansel House for the great memories. We hope to be back next season!"

Lake Forest Travel Tips

Lake Forest Lodging in a Prime Location

You simply can't go wrong with Lake Tahoe vacation rentals when you choose Lake Forest lodging. Designed with the vacationer in mind, Lake Forest Glen condominiums feature four tennis courts, a hot tub and sauna and both an adult and kiddie pool. Ranging from two bedrooms and 1.5 baths to a full scale four bedroom with two baths, you'll have plenty of space whether it's a romantic getaway or a trip with the whole family. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and housekeeping services. It's easily your home away from home.

Fun in the Lake Tahoe Sun

As comfortable and luxurious as Lake Forest cabins are, you'll most definitely feel a need to get out and enjoy all that the Lake Tahoe area has to offer. In the summer months you can go fly-fishing or rent a boat and enjoy some water skiing and tubing around the lake. Take a hike along mountain trails, or rent a mountain bike for a great workout and beautiful scenic views. The Tahoe Apex Adventure Bungy and Rope Challenge has something exciting for all ages. Enjoy live music and other events at The Village at Northstar, and do a little wine tasting at Grapes & Grounds.

Snow-capped Goodness at Lake Tahoe

The summer months are just the tip of the iceberg – wintering in Lake Forest lodging also has tons to offer. The local mountains offer plenty of skiing opportunities, as well as snowshoeing, tubing, dogsledding and sleigh rides. Take the kids to Jib Park for mini log slides and natural obstacles, or boost the adventure at Mineshaft Adventure Park where you can take the Gondola Express up to the top of the hill and slide down. Finish the week with a mountain tour and relaxing in Lake Forest cabins.
