  • Very Homey and clean, great location!

"My group and I stayed here for the weekend and loved it! The house is very comfortable, cozy and clean--everything you could ever need is there and you feel like you are "home". Gretchen, the owner, was very responsive--quick to reply on email and we also spoke on the phone a couple of times. This was my first VRBO rental, so I was a little nervous to just send my money out, but everything worked out perfectly! We had excellent instructions to get there and for the house entry, plus great information on all the Northstar amenities. The house is around a 15 min walk to the main village, plus it is also easy to take the shuttles. My group was 4 adults and the place would still have felt roomy with 6. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and there is a beautiful back deck surrounded by plants and trees where we ate our breakfast in the morning sun--it would be really nice for an evening bbq too. My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to stay longer! I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in this part of Tahoe!"

  • Like your best friend's home

"Our long weekend stay at this Northstar home was like visiting a private home owned by dear friends. What caught our eye first upon arrival was how clean the home was. Next, the manner of decoration that the owners have invested make it feel so comfortable, like you're family friends. The TV and Wi-fi worked great, the setting was quiet and refreshing, the neighbor nice an level for morning and evening walks. The kitchen had everything we needed and all beds were very comfortable, even the great murphy bed in one of the three bedrooms. The stair ladder to the kids loft could be a bit of a challenge, but older kids would love the quiet space with lots of games and a gaming system/tv. I also had excellent communication by email/phone/text with the owner. I would certainly recommend a stay at this home and I know we will return again."

  • Fantastic Home!

"This is a great house... Beautiful setting, really nicely furnished!! A perfect week of weather and fun, combined with the relaxing atmosphere of the setting. We enjoyed time at the Rec Center, playing tennis, basketball, workout room. Kids played ping-pong and pool too! We rafted down the Truckee, and biked down Northstar, played bocce at the Truckee Winery, and hiked the trail behind the house. We packed in as much as possible! I would definitely recommend this home and plan on staying here again..."

  • Perfect stay!

"We stayed for two nights this past weekend, and could not be happier with our choice! First, the parking spot included with the rental was perfect. It was in the garage, covered, and right next to the elevator. We were also pleasantly surprised that there were valet luggage carts... definitely came in handy! The rental was decorated beautifully, and was absolutely spotless! There was plenty of seating for everyone, the couch and beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Rachel was a total pleasure to work with. She was very accomodating and friendly throughout the process. Overall, we would definitely stay again, and others in our party discussed staying again soon, as well. Thank you!"
