Great little place, perfect location for some quiet west lake relaxing or snow sports
"5 minutes to Homewood Resort for snowboarding/skiing, 5 minutes to Tahoe City, right in the middle of quiet. Perfect little place for a couples getaway or small family, and exactly what you need if you like West Lake. Not much snow over our stay thanks to CA not remembering how to rain, but it was an awesome getaway regardless. The neighbors next to the place and across the street are very friendly and the hot tub is nice and warm. I used to live in Tahoma so Im sort of biased about the west shore over any other area and this place felt like home. Definitely would stay here again!"

"My husband and I along with our two lab dogs had a truly wonderful stay at this property. For the price it absolutely doesn't get better than this (I know because I looked at nearly every single VRBO rental house at Lake Tahoe that had a spa and a lake view which was also dog friendly!). After reading all the reviews I can say the are completely accurate too. The kitchen was nicely equipped for our needs (making breakfast), the couches were incredibly comfy and cozy, beautiful fireplace and all around nice cabin touches. Killer view of the lake too from the floor to ceiling glass windows. Internet was quite slow but hey, you shouldn't be there and stay on the computer or whatever iDevice you have! We enjoyed several hours in the spa, relaxing with morning coffee while looking at the lake and not seeing one other person - heaven. The private access beach for the Homeowners Association is not dog friendly which we were not aware of but that was fine. It was actually nice to have the comfort and security of the bear fencing as well. Also, two excellent inexpensive dining options are right down the hill - highly recommended Fire Sign Cafe (breakfast/lunch) and Spoon (lunch/dinner)! We cannot wait to return, thank you Kate!"

"We had a wonderful time in the Bear Cabin! The place is very well appointed. Both spacious and cozy all at the same time. We hit the slopes and recovered in the hot tub afterwards. Couldn't ask for more."
