  • Perfect for two families!

"We stayed for 3 nights at Carraig Nua and it was great. We were two families (4 adults, 4 kids ages 9 to 12). The set up for this type of situation was perfect! There are 3 bedrooms on first floor (one master queen with HUGE bathroom, one queen bedroom and one room with 2 sets of bunk beds). We had everything we needed! The 3rd floor loft was great. The kids played/hung out up there and we could talk and relax in the living room. The place is clean, not overly cluttered with knick-knacks, and furniture was comfortable to sit and read/watch a movie. The kitchen was well equipped- (even had a ton of cutting boards so we could all help make dinner!). The location was up the hill from lake level but that was fine with us. Very quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails directly behind the house that we explored/walked one day. The owners obviously take great pride in their home and it shows. Although we know the area very well, the binders that are at the house describing activities and restaurants were great. Perfect for those who do not know the area. The supermarket (Save-Mart) is very close and has everything you need. We had dinner one night at Tahoe Mountain Brewing, Co in Tahoe City and it was perfect for our group. We skied at Northstar but snow was not great so the third day we took the kids to the ropes course at Grandlibakken (very close- 10 minutes away) which is usually a Summer activity- but it was open last week) We have rented many houses in Tahoe and this was in our top 5- for sure! We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Peaceful...wonderfully decorated retreat!

"We selected Camp Cedar Crest for a ski weekend at Squaw. We were 2 families with a total of 7 people and it was quite roomy. The kitchen was big, the living room had plenty of seating area and the beds were super comfy! The hot tub and fire pit kept the kids occupied. My only recommendation would be that you come with a flashlight if you arrive after dark...:). As the previous review had said Russ was very responsive to any questions that we had."

  • Cozy, quiet, but central location

"This is a nice, small house on a quiet street within a short walk of the beach and Sunnyside Resort. Nothing fancy but comfortable and convenient. Kitchen is older but baths have been updated. Tiny TV should be replaced. It was a good size for a small family of three but not any more than that. Front yard is removed from street and surrounded by trees so it's good for sitting outside, especially if no one is staying next door since the houses next door are very close."

  • Great place for a small family

"My wife and I stayed here with out 4 month old son. We stayed for 3 nights and the condo worked perfectly! The location is very easy to find, very quiet, and very clean. Everything you need is just a few minute drive, or you could take a walk into Tahoe City. The condo is 2 stories, with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the bottom and living area up top. Large decks and great views of the lake and surrounding area. A very short walk puts you at the edge of Lake Tahoe! Very cool! The condo seemed a little dated, but worked perfectly for us. It had pretty much everything we needed to cook dinners, and even had laundry with included soap and dryer sheets. Very nice touch. Shopping for groceries and pretty much anything you would need along with multiple restaurant choices are within a few minutes of a drive. All in all we would love to stay here again. Very nice little condo that would work great for a small family or 2 couples."
