"My husband, mom and 2 kids (6 and 8) enjoyed a great 4 night getaway in Tahoe City. I have never rented a cabin before but working with the owner was easy and very straightforward. I got the keys early. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear. And, there was no need to laundry either since my $150 cleaning fee covered everything after we left. The house was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of extra pillows and blankets available if needed. The sectional couch fit all 5 of us with plenty of leftover space. One large chair-and-a-half was a great perch to read by the window. The garage is filled with chairs for 6 and tables for the deck. The BBQ had propane and was ready to go! There is even a blower to blow off any needles or twigs that may have fallen on the deck. My kids totally loved the upstairs kid's room: it had two very nicely decorated twin beds and one full bed; a foosball table; and a TV with DVD. Plus a closet big enough for the kids to play in as a fort! The second bedroom upstairs is big enough to put up a pack-n-play if needed or for a small child to sleep on the sofa. Grandma enjoyed her queen bed as well! The upstairs bath is newly redecorated and quite cute. My little guy (6 yo) did mention that the shower was "small" compared to our oversized one at home, but I believe it is a standard size and tiled with slate-very pretty! In fact, the decorating throughout the cabin was tastefully done in mountain style with whimsical bears throughout. The downstairs bedroom was just fine for my husband and I, and it was quiet enough not to hear anyone else who got up in the morning before us. The downstairs bathroom has a combo tub/shower which was satisfactory. The kitchen is what drew me to the house: it has a large island counter with bar stools. My kids loved to eat and watch dad prep meals while feeling like "big" kids at the counter. The kitchen has everything you would need too cook: pots and pans; strainer; two coffee makers and an espresso machine (!); sharp knives; and plenty of spices and oils, etc. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace as well. The owner has the wood neatly stacked next to the fireplace, with more in the garage. Bonus is that the house is just a quick drive (or 15 min walk) to everything! Shops, cafes, skiing, bike trails, the lake, etc. This is a wonderful family home and we look forward to coming back again!"

"This place was awesome! Great beds, clean house, generous sized kitchen, and big bathrooms. Large sofa and TV to relax on. They were very accommodating in having our old German Shepard and young Aussie pups with us. My family and I spent my birthday weekend/Easter here and it could not have been a better choice. Beautiful views of the lake can be seen between the trees and when it snows--which it did!!! :)...the view is absolutely stunning! We will definitely considering staying here again if time allows. We really appreciate the owners opening up their family cabin to us :)"

"This was our first time with VRBO. This is a great house, fully stocked kitchen with any utensils or dishes you may need. The back deck has a great view of the forest not to mention the great trail right out the steps to the lake. Plenty of seating with two umbrellas for shade. I loved watching the little cotton tails out on the grass in the mornings. The front of the house has plenty of nice sitting areas as well! The location was awesome, there's a little bakery walking distance away. The bike trail is very close, just hop on your bike and your right there. We went to Virginia City which was only about 40 miles away. Tahoe City is about 1 mile down the street with plenty of shopping. We also took the North Lake Tahoe Gal Boat Cruise to Emerald Bay, which you get on right there in Tahoe City. We had an awesome time and made many memories with our kids and grandkids here! I highly recommend this home it worked out perfect for us we had a group of 8 that stayed in the home and a total of 15 people who hung out while we were there. Definitely would love to stay here again! Dennis was easy to work with I corresponded with him through email during the whole process! Thanks for helping us make some memories! Glenda from the Central Coast"
