  • Beautiful!

"Beautiful beautiful home! If you're already pleased with the pictures, boy are you gonna be amazed when you see it in person! Booked this baby for my birthday getaway for 4 days and 3 nights and had an amazing time. Upon arrival, it was like love at first sight. Lovely neighborhood. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookwares, silverwares, table plates, and cups. We cooked up an incredible breakfast every morning! Given that I was the birthday girl, my boyfriend and I stayed in the master bedroom. Though the view from the balcony from the master bedroom was't much, it was still a beautiful site scene when night fell. The stars were amazeballs! Never saw so many stars before in my life! And the bathrooms are to die for! Sadly we didn't get to make use of the tub in the master bathroom but the shower was wonderful. Very clean, very spacious. The bed was pretty comfortable the first 2 nights but for some reason I had a really hard time falling asleep the third night. My friends enjoyed the pool table a lot and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT! The mini wet bar downstairs was a plus because it was very convenient for us to get cold drinks right there from the mini fridge while playing pool instead of having to travel upstairs to the kitchen fridge. There was 9 of us and we did not feel crowded at all. My only complaints are 1) we didn't stay long enough and 2) though the knives wowed me by being magnetic and sticking to the wall, it did not work for me at all as far as cutting meats go. The knives were more of like bread knives, not as sharp and had way to many ridges. I was very much frustrated trying to cut the meats that had to go on the grill the 2nd night. I'll remind myself to bring my own knives from home next time. We didn't get to make use of the guest passes for the Rec Center or the private beach which was a total bummer. But for sure next time we will. All in all, not bad for my first time in Tahoe and renter experience. Rob was really easy to work with and we will definitely be back! I feel as if no other house will compare in the future! Thank you Rob!"

  • wonderful

"We had a great experience! This home was extremely comfortable, even with 13 people! We had adults, teens and a one year old with absolutely no problems. The homeowner checked on us, via phone, and was very helpful and available. There were plenty of places to go and things to see. We visited two Donner Lake beaches and went on a hike on a nearby trail. The deer were very fun to watch every morning and evening. The views from each window were spectacular. The jetted tub was on high demand after a day in the sun. Bring some bubble bath! Many of the adults in our party talked about how great it would be to come back during the snowy season! I can't say enough about what a wonderful stay we had. Defiantly worth the drive up the mountain. Only negative part of the trip was going to the local Safeway during the holiday weekend.. Very crowded and they didn't have all the check stands open. The house was great! The owner had everything very well organized and made the whole trip as easy as could be. This was the first time I rented a house and I was very impressed with the whole experience!"

  • Great place to stay, nicely maintained clean and convenient.

"This place is great - very well maintained, clean, conveniently located and very private. Kitchen is fully-stocked with everything you'd need for preparing your own meals. Bedrooms are good size, plenty of space for clothes, bags, etc. Having a garage is definitely very helpful during winter months. The area itself is very nice - great neighbors, quiet and relaxing. And most importantly - the owner is a pleasure to deal with! Quick communication, no hassles of any kind. One thing to note is the whole living area is on the upper floor, so it probably won't work for people with disabilities."

  • Excellent Property, Great Value

"Our group of 7 adults had a wonderful time staying in this property. The layout is perfect for 3-4 families or a few couples like we had. We found everything to be in great condition, the location was perfect for our event and the owner was very quick to answer questions and return our deposit."

Tahoe Donner Travel Tips

Tahoe Donner Vacation Rentals Feel Like Home

Lake Tahoe has long been one of America's playgrounds and vacation destinations because of the temperate climate and breathtaking scenery. When planning a Lake Tahoe getaway, consider Tahoe Donner vacation rentals for your Lake Tahoe North Shore lodging needs. Nestled in gorgeous pine forests of the Sierra Mountains, Tahoe Donner cabins come in a large selection ranging from luxury lodges for larger groups to cozy cabins for a couple. Tahoe Donner vacation rentals are located only three miles from Donner Lake and less than 10 miles from Lake Tahoe's northern shore, allowing you to enjoy the attractions, but feel like you're at home.

Tahoe Donner Vacation Rentals Are near Natural Attractions

Just minutes from your Tahoe Donner cabin is Tahoe Donner Memorial State Park. In winter, opportunities to cross-country ski, snowshoe, and snowmobile abound, and in warmer months, visitors can swim, fish, picnic, hike, and water-ski. Inside the park, the Emigrant Trail Museum pays homage to early emigrants who paved the way for California's future. View artifacts and learn about the Donner Party, forced to camp in the wilderness during winter and experienced much loss of life.

Less than 10 miles southwest from your Lake Tahoe North Shore lodging is a more rustic experience found in Granite Chief Wilderness. Over 19,000 acres of undeveloped, untouched natural beauty is home to many non-motorized recreations. Spend the day beneath towering pines, enjoying granite cliffs, glacial valleys, rock formations, and wildflower-filled meadows.

Tahoe Donner Vacation Rentals: A Place to Play

Enjoy a day at West End Beach on Lake Tahoe. A playground and volleyball and tennis courts present a family game opportunity and, afterward, relish a sunset while eating a picnic dinner by the fire pit. When your busy Lake Tahoe day is done, return to your cabin to enjoy a quiet, relaxing evening with your loved ones.
