"This home was perfect! It very comfortably slept 10 adults and had plenty of space to cook, eat, lounge, etc! Everything was very clean and organized, just like it was described, would for sure stay here again! Bob was very easy to communicate with and provided very clear and easy check in/out instructions, hope to be back soon!"

"The house is located across the street from Tahoe Vista beach behind the post office. It is tucked away and surrounded by trees which makes the area quiet and away from the busy highway. But you would have to cross it to walk to the beach. The place may seem cramped if you have a few people over to visit. We went up with other families who stayed elsewhere but this property was the closest to the beach so it was home base for all of us and it couldn't accommodate more than 5-6 people in the living room comfortably. So we spent a majority of our time outside in the backyard or at the beach. During our last night we had problems with the water heater and survived on only cold water. The owner was very accommodating and offered several other options to make our stay more comfortable. Thankfully, we had family staying at other properties to use their showers. The 2 rooms located upstairs are spacious but the ceilings in both rooms are not enclosed making it possible to hear everything and impossible to sleep when others are bustling around in the house. The noise level is loud in the bedrooms upstairs. We weren't able to make use of the remodeled bathroom but it is very nice. All in all it is a nice place to rent for a small family and the owners are very accommodating."

"We had such a great time! We have two young boys and they loveddd the loft! We loved the updated kitchen and bathrooms :) I also didn't realize there was a community pool and we were soo happy to use that. Thank you for such a wonderful stay."

Lakefront Love. Truly a special place. Count yourself lucky if you are able to stay here.
"Moon Dune. It is hard to put into words how perfectly wonderful Moon Dune is. The history of the house, both distant and recent past to the present day, reflects the love and commitment of at least three generations of family ownership. There are a lot of unique and original features in Moon Dune. Look at the decals on the original kitchen cabinets. Run your hand along the bare wooden railings worn smooth by countless hands over the decades. Smile at the multi-colored stones collected and used by the original owners for the walls and fireplace. Even the bedroom door latches and locks are original. "Comfortable" and "Casual" are often rental code words for dumpy and neglected. Not at Moon Dune. The care the owner (and his sisters) have taken to make your stay relaxing and stress free is evident in every nook and cranny of this quirky house, from the carefully restored original stonework, to the new kitchen appliances, to the luxurious linens and towels, to the outdoor teak dining table, to the hidden secret spots you'll discover in and around the house. Lush gardens with water features. A badminton court!!! Curl up in a comfy oversized chair and watch the mountains surrounding the lake change colors throughout the day. Get up early before anyone else and feel the silence as dawn approaches. The photos only show the house. You have to stay there to feel the love."
