"We had a much needed family vacation. The home was perfect for us. We were all together, with all of the conveniences of home. It was nice and clean and the location was great. I would definitely recommend and would stay again., Thank you Mike for opening your home to us!"

  • In The Heart Of It ALL

"This place is in a great location. It is under 10 minutes walk to the Lakeshore. About 15 minutes walk to Heavenly Village, Stateline casinos and many dining options (there are also taxis available). It is about a mile to the base of Heavenly ski resort tram - you can park here for free and either go skiing from there or take a free shuttle bus to the gondola (parking at the gondola is $25 per day). The property is in perfect condition and really nicely decorated. The radiant heat takes about 16 hours to get up to temp but there is a gas fire in the living area to keep you warm while it does. There is even a garage for visitors so if you are there in the winter you do not have to scrape your car every morning. If we plan another trip to Tahoe we would stay here again."

  • Beautiful Cabin and Close to Activities

"For ease of review, I'll just state the good and the bad. The good: 1. The owner, Brad, is very accommodating and very easy to talk to. Because of how my credit card was set up, I couldn't pay the insurance and rent in the same transaction. Brad accommodated me, by allowing me to get the rental insurance directly from the insurance company before making a payment. 2. Cabin is close to everything -- shopping, casinos, beaches, and outdoor activities; 3. Price is very reasonable, considering that the cabin was located in a convenient place; 4. Amenities, such as toilet tissue, bath soap, laundry soap, towels, linens were well provided for. Also, lots of dishes, glasses, and silverware; 5. The place was very clean; 6. Four bedrooms fitted seven people comfortably. All of us said that the beds we slept in were very comfortable. I also liked that one of the bedrooms upstairs had a king size bed. The bad (not really bad, but, just some minor complaints): 1. The lighting downstairs was inadequate. The living area had no lights -- we had to depend on the lighting from the kitchen area. Thus, we really couldn't use it as a "chill" place at night; 2. The back deck is kind of dangerous, and someone can get hurt easily. While on the deck, one of us leaned over in the patio chair accidentally and fell onto the ground. Luckily, it wasn't that high a fall, and he just rolled (and no, this didn't happen when he was drunk -- we had just arrived from biking around). 3. Because we really couldn't use the living area at night, and the back deck was kind of small, we felt a little cramped when we were chilling together. If there was better lighting in the living area, and the deck was a little bigger (or had railings), I would give this place a five star rating."

Bijou 1 Travel Tips

Bijou 1 Lodging is the Way to Live in Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is one of the best known vacation spots in California. For holidaymakers who want to get into the heart of the area, choosing Bijou 1 lodging is the way to go. With a wide selection of properties to choose from visitors will not miss a beat. These accommodations are far removed from the typical clinical feel of a hotel. Choosing between Bijou 1 cabins and other owner rented properties can be hard. They offer something different and retain a bit of the personalities of their owners.

Enjoy the Wonders of Lake Tahoe from Bijou 1 Cabins

There is something for everyone regardless of age or any other factor in Lake Tahoe. One of the best ways to be within easy reach of many of the activities available is to rent one of the available Bijou 1 cabins. These owner rented properties have that nice homely feel that many visitors desire. No wonder the area is popular with returning visitors year after year. Many of the properties are also pet friendly, which is a plus for pet owners. Many people are simply unable to leave their pets behind when they travel.

Bijou 1 Lodging is Close to the Excitement

When vacationers choose to stay at any Bijou 1 lodging, they know that they will be close to many activities. There are casinos in and around the area for those persons who want to see if luck is on their side. Activities to choose from in the vicinity or close by include biking, hiking, kayaking and swimming. With Lake Tahoe vacation rentals you choose what you want. Skiers will also have fun on the slopes during the winter months. Other winter activities, such as snowboarding and snowmobiling, are available. The area unlike many tourist locations has the fun going all year long.
