"The cabin is very cozy and has a nice old feel and charm. It is a bit outdated, but never the less was very comfortable! The hot tub was ready to use upon arrival and the fireplace was very nice! The heater in the house kept throwing the breaker even without anything else in the house on, so going outside in the snow to get the heater back on was annoying after the first couple times. We ended up buying firewood and having fires instead. The bbq didn't work and is in older condition. We cleaned it out of what looked like years of food crud in the bottom, but could not get the gas to flow. We were all very competent cooks, so we just went inside and used the kitchen instead. Minus the two inconveniences, the stay was wonderful! Great cabin, attentive owners! There were even some bears in the tree right out front which was an awesome sight!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Blue Haven despite the absence of snow. Our annual friends Tahoe trip has grown as our families have, and the house has plenty of room and separate common areas for different activities and noise levels. We appreciated this given the rainy days! The kitchen was well-stocked and we made good use of the baby gate, exersaucer and high chair. The kids loved the bunk room. If there had been snow, the empty lot, or maybe just big yard next would have made a fun sledding run for the little ones. We would definitely return!"

"The location is nice, near the mountains (where the snow was) and a short drive into town. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. The right size place for the right price. A few things could have been a little better: there was hair on a few of the pillows letting me think that the pillow cases weren't changed, spider webs above the kitchen cabinets didn't make you feel clean either, and the heater really heat up the rooms to the point where the air was hot and stuffy (a few of us got nosebleeds, maybe a combination of heater and elevation?), beds were super soft (may have been a bigger issue if we stayed longer). It was nice though and we had a great time. There was a power outage and luckily flashlights were kept handy in the living room along with a nice fireplace and wood ready to burn."
