The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
The property description was accurate. Other homes are nearby, but there aren't many being lived in. The house is separated from the street by many trees. The noisiest night was when a bear cub became separated in the street from its mother and bleated loudly until she was near. Because of that experience with the bears, we wished that we had access to the garage for our rental vehicle. The house wasn't lacking for amenities, but we could have used the user manuals for a few. We enjoyed many luscious meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Check the food cupboards before shopping, because other renters leave usable staples. The house was very clean, when we arrived. It was easy to maintain. Beds were comfortable with large closets for holding clothing. Our only emergency phone call at night to the property manager was promptly answered. With no manual or experience with the gas fireplace, we needed help understanding why the exhaust fan continued to run after we turned the fireplace off. The hot tub was a terrific way to relax in the evening and watch the billions of stars. I would recommend this property to everyone. The Sunnyside area was a great place to stay. We were able to have our share of hiking in the neighborhood, at Taylor Creek Visitor Center, and at Eagle Creek falls (just a trickle), biking along the Truckee River, canoeing on Lake Tahoe, swimming in Lake Tahoe, and restaurant dining at Sunnyside. We even rode the ski gondola at Northstar."

"We had a fabulous stay at this cozy home in Lake Tahoe. It is perfect for 6 people with plenty of room. The cabin was nice and warm with the fireplace blazing as the beautiful snow came down outside. It is located very close to Sunnyside which is a favorite restaurant of ours. The kitchen had all the amenities including spices and condiments for cooking. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this vacation home again."

"House/Cabin worked out perfect for us. Plenty of room for the 6 of us with room to spare. Nice deck at front and back of house. Spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the wildlife and the beautiful weather. Close to Tahoe City and walking distance to Homewood."

"When I booked out winter vacation for my family (wife, two teenage boys, and eleven year old daughter) the primary focus leading up to the trip was the anticipation of skiing the famed slopes surrounding the Tahoe Lake for the first time. To our sheer surprise, and delight, the lake front home we stayed in took center stage. As great as the skiing was, it rivaled the experience my family had in this special place. We enjoyed this home so much, we found it difficult to leave! The result, quality time with my family. The home has many modern amenities and conveniences, but the love and warmth that emanates from every room in the house, as a result of how it is built, decorated, and adorned with pictures and relics from around the world, promote an earthy yet progressive atmosphere that made us want to call this place home! I can write a short essay on it, but I won't because I'd spend a chapter just talking about the view over Lake Tahoe as the sun came up in the morning or went down at night. I'll leave you with this, if you're going to Lake Tahoe in the winter to ski or the summer for water sports, this "resort" can only enhance your experience...it certainly did ours, and we have the stories, pictures, and memories that in many respects will not lead back to the mountains of Tahoe, but the time we spent in this home."
