"This New Year's vacation was celebrated amongst a small group of friends at this lovely location. The pictures definitely do the property justice: well-kept and comfortable. We weren't short of anything we really need. The surrounding area of trees/snow and just plain nature were beautiful. So peaceful. We were able to sled down some slopes right next to the cabin. Respectable neighborhood of nice people. The lake is literally a short walk away and Homewood Ski Resort is just around the corner. Not gonna lie, we were a loud, laughing bunch. We were just really excited to have found and celebrated at this great location. The owner made the whole process smooth sailing and was accommodating until the very end. Bring your firewood starters or fireplace experience because it will be much needed. We came after a couple days of snowfall so our van made use of snow chains. Fun adventures, no complaints at all!"

"My family and I just checked out today of Chalet de Huttlinger and we are already sad our time there is over. There are so many positive things to say! To begin with, the owner Corinne is a gracious host. We walked into her lovely home to find a bottle of wine and fresh flowers in several rooms. Corinne does a wonderful job at making you feel like you are family staying at her home. Having just returned from Paris a few days prior to our stay in the Chalet, I have to agree with the other reviews: the French decor is spectacular! We had several friends staying nearby that popped in for visits and everyone of them could not stop swooning over the decor and layout of the home. The kitchen is so quaint and Corinne does a great job of utilizing every space well. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were stocked with toiletries, bathrobes, hair dryers and even curling irons. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a great little market only a mile away that has most everything you need. This home does not feel like a rental home, but rather a good friend's who has great taste."

Beautiful House and Beach. Amazing Lake Views. Peaceful, Serene, Super Relaxing!
"We spent our first week of summer at this west shore lakefront house. From the minute we walked into the house, we were on vacation. The house was spotlessly clean, well appointed with everything we needed, spacious floor plan and amazing views of Lake Tahoe. The house is well thought out with 4 master suites with private decks and bathrooms, and laundry on both levels of the house. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and well designed. I could have lived in this house all summer and been very happy. Will return and highly recommend to others who want a quality lakefront Tahoe experience."

"This place is probably one of the nicest 3 bedroom home in the Chamberlands area that can be rented for less than a week. The home is up-to-date, clean and has lots of little perks like a hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, access to Chanbers Landing beach that shuttles to and from the beach, electronic plug in to play music from your iphone, close to Sugar Pine State Beach, eateries and markets. Although we did not use the hot tub, we did use the fire pit for smores and also used the expansive backyard area to play frisbee golf.
The layout of the home was perfect for us. The living area is roomy and open and was the hub of family games and hanging out. Lots of room to lounge on the couch and be together. There are two rooms on the second floor, each with two queen beds and another room downstairs with another queen bed. We also loved the ceiling fans upstairs which kept the rooms cool even in the warm weather.
I only have a few minor issues that I have to mention. Milton indicated that we could use the basement storage to store our bikes (2 bikes are very expensive), but we were not able to use it after all and locked our bikes up outside instead. In addition, Milton contacted us during our stay and asked us to contact him when we could, but did not indicate what was needed. I was a little concerned as I did not know why he would be contacting us during our stay. When we finally connected, all he wanted to get was a copy of the rental agreement. I suggest that he not offer up the basement storage and ensure that he has copies of the rental agreement prior to arrival or at least indicate what is needed in correspondence instead of being ambiguous. These were minor issues that ultimately did not impact our stay. Otherwise, Milton was very responsive to all questions and also provided us with a manual prior to our arrival.
We would definitely stay here again if given the chance. The home was wonderful and we will have lots of memories of this charming Tahoe home."
