"I normally don't take time to write positive reviews as often as I should. However, the entire experience in renting and staying at this cabin was so easy, straightforward and the cabin itself was perfect for our family. I appreciate the cabin is set up in a way that we didn't have to worry about logistics while we were there. All the instructions etc. are set up logically and straightforward. The cabin itself is wonderful. We had enough room to have privacy (with the split level) but it also has a wonderful family/living room which was cozy with books and video tapes/DVDs to enjoy. My 7 year old saw his first VHS tape there. : )
Although the snow conditions were marginal, we had a wonderful time bike riding and enjoying Homewood, Tahoma and Tahoe City. Great location, great cabin. Highly recommend."

"We have been coming up to Tahoe City every winter for the past 8 years with our kids and grandkids. The house we usually rent was so we needed to find another that could accommodate 10 of us comfortably and had all the amenities. River Rock was a perfect fit. Being in Tahoma was a nice change and so close ut was fun to explore the Sugar Pine park and Ehrman estate one day and Emerald Bay and the Vikingsholm the next for lovely hikes. Our dog loved playing in the snow too. Only bummer, the State Parks are not very dog friendly and we barely escaped a fine. Enjoy this lovely home."

"Very comfortable home for family. We spent the weekend with two six year olds, twelve year old girl, fifteen year old boy, and eighteen year old girl. All of them had a great time. The two six year old said it was the best trip ever. Lots of space both inside the house and outside. I was unable to use the whirlpool tub because the hot water heater could not handle the necessary volume. However, this was not a problem with the showers. My husband loved the water pressure. I loved the fenced yard because it gave the little ones more freedom to be independent. If I had toddlers with me I would have needed a few baby gates. Kitchen was wonderful with double stoves, coffee pot, and microwave. Layout of the house was totally awesome for both family time and individual time. I liked being able to put my car in the garage with the combined possibility of children eating in my car and bears looking for leftovers. Neighborhood was safe for the older children to take a walk by themselves. Neighbors were very friendly."

"We loved this little apartment. Very quiet and comfortable. Its basically three rooms - one bedroom which also has the kitchen in it, a bathroom and the master bedroom. The owner lives upstairs and was very helpful and quiet. Everything in the apartment was great but what we really enjoyed was sitting outside amid the trees, the quiet, birds, chipmunks and ground squirrels running around which are very entertaining. Another plus is the location of the place which is mid way between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe. The lake is about a 15 minute walk away. The path down there can be a bit difficult to find. You need to walk through the state park next door."
