"Wonderful place, clean, comfortable beds, and lots to do! We just returned from a week at Ma Ah Mee. My whole family was there, and we had a great time just hanging out. It's walking distance to a great store with an amazing Deli, the water is wonderful, (bring your water shoes, the shore is hard on the feet). We brought a boat to tour and water ski, which we did in abundance. This year the water is low, but the lodge provides a rowboat. Fishing is so-so on Lake Tahoe unless you know what you're doing, BUT: there are Crayfish everywhere under the dock or on the two rock- jettys. Give the kids some string with a piece of lunch meat tied on. Go about dusk, and you'll have dozens in no time! I think the whole family had more fun gathering crayfish than almost any other activity! I've never had them before, but find a good recipe, and they made a great tasty happy hour snack! If you want to keep them overnight, or just use a trap, go to the hardware store 4 miles up in Tahoe City. Across the street is a decent pizza joint, and a good Gelato stand. Next door is the local park and there are kid friendly movies most summer weekends. Lots of hiking and biking nearby. OK, I'm bouncing around, but the lodge is a great place for a large family to reconnect, play, and recharge. Thank you!"Guest: John S. "We had a great experience renting this cabin. It was a the right size for our family of 5 plus our little dog. It would have been fine to have a couple more people too. I like the layout with the master bedroom downstairs for some privacy from the kids. When we arrived I was happy to see it sparkling clean and well outfitted with everything necessary for a comfortable visit. Lee, the owner was easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to our questions. The location is good in Tahoe City. The kitchen has a good selection of pots, pans, utensils and dishes and lots of spices so you don't need to bring any. The photos of the property are accurate. Everything is clean, up to date and well maintained. We found that there were plenty of paper products: napkins, paper towels, toilet paper and even some coffee filters. There are kitchen towels and pot holders. I have no hesitation on making a recommendation for this property."Guest: Dafna Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 14, 2014View listing
"My family and I rented this cabin for my husband's birthday weekend. My husband is a carpenter so he appreciated every single detail of this beautiful cabin. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub after going snow boarding or playing in the snow. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the outdoor grill also came in handy! I have absolutely no complaints, I highly recommend this cabin for small families!"Guest: Christina V. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 19, 2014View listing
"I rented this cabin for the July 4th holiday with a bunch of my girlfriends and it was an absolute blast. The house was a perfect location for everything we were hoping to do that weekend -- beach, restaurants, hiking. The house is about a 5 min walk from Chambers Landing, 5 min walk to Tahoma Market, 10 minute drive to Sunnyside and 15 min drive to Tahoe City. We couldn't have asked for a better location! The house itself was perfect. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities we would need. There were two decks that were great for laying out and relaxing in the evenings. One of the decks had a BBQ that we used each night to cook dinner. All the bedrooms had extremely comfy beds and the bathrooms were all nicely remodeled (as was the kitchen, which we liked the best). The owners were extremely easy to deal with and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this place to anyone!"Guest: Jenny B. Date of Stay: July 2013 Review Submitted: July 16, 2013View listing
