  • Wonderful Tahoe Pines Home!

"We rented this lovely home in Tahoe Pines for our family vacation this summer and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect for walking to the Tahoe Pines Pier, riding bikes and hiking Blackwood Canyon. Our kids had a great time in Kathy's garden, playing on the quiet street and enjoying games at the picnic table on the deck. The home is so cute, comfortable and welcoming! Great kitchen to cook in-felt like home! Everyone loved the hot tub too! Enough beds for all-we have 5 kids. Just loved the gracious touches from Kathy and Larry to make our stay perfect!"

  • Fine Furnishing, Fabulous Views, Fully Equipped, Four Bedrooms!

"The heading says it all! Perfect winter/summer cabin surroundings both inside and outside. Two large decks to enjoy view of lake and hills and 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms. Loved the beds and comforters too! Cabin location is in a lovely neighborhood about 25- 35 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar resorts. Homewood Ski Resort is closest, about 10 minutes from house...good for taking young skiers without investing a lot of time traveling, especially when they tire and want to go home. Meeks Bay, literally under 5 minutes away, is a great area for winter/summer walks and summer time swimming/boating. Sunnyside Restaurant and West Side Cafe are minutes up the road towards Tahoe City and two different "general stores", (one with great sandwiches) are about 5 minutes away and have just about anything you need in terms of groceries. We could have stayed at other cabins closer to larger resorts but the per night rate was amazing given the 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom mountain-modern accommodations. Kitchen is open to living room which is great floor plan to keep you involved in activities while cooking, eating and playing games, and is completely equipped and up to date. All stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and stone accents on island. Bedrooms good size and both bathrooms had modern fixtures and granite counters as well. I have only three suggestions regarding the home's furnishings...(1) an additional table lamp would be nice in living room so that overhead lights don't need to be used as much...(2) brighter lighting in queen bedroom...(3) a narrow table, up against the mirror wall in the master bath would be nice to hold toiletries. Having said that, these issues WOULD NOT DISCOURAGE me from staying here again! BEAUTIFUL HOME AND VERY AFFORDABLE! Thanks for offering it up to be rented!"

  • Great Cozy Cabin!

"What a wonderful weekend getaway at this cozy little cabin! Everything we needed was right at hand. We loved hitting the slopes during the day and getting cozy by the fire each night playing games. It was the perfect getaway for our entire family (which included our two teenage daughters and our dog). Our teenagers especially loved that there was internet. Thank you...we will be back!"

  • Could not have found a better home to rent for our family Christmas

"My extended family and I found this property in April and knew that we had to sign up as soon as possible in order to secure for our 2014 Christmas Holiday. The house is beautiful. The large, open kitchen, which is fully stocked with every utensil and equipment you could need, was perfect for cooking and entertaining. Our family has four small children who loved having the run of the house and their choice of bunkbeds. The movie and board game collections ensured that none of them had the chance to be bored. We received a couple of inches of snow on Christmas eve that was enough to give the kids a chance to sled for hours outside. Located on the west shore of the Lake, we had easy access to both Emerald Bay and Sugar Pine State Park for short hikes and great views. Joe, the property owner, was very easy to contact. His prompt responses were always thorough and helpful. The next time our family will need a large home for a visit to Tahoe, we have no doubt on where we want to stay!"
