"The Glencoe Retreat was such an amazing experience. Our hosts made us feel at home immediately. The home was clean, comfortable and very quaint. I also loved the retro-chic decor and the minimalist design of the home interior. The location is also perfect! We were minutes away (by bicycle) from Abbot Kinney which had such a great vibe. It's also a quick drive away from West Hollywood and all the tourist spots you would want to visit.
I really felt like I got as "authentic" a Venice/LA experience as a visitor. On top of all this, our hosts were amazing. Always a smile on their faces and they were always so kind and generous with their hospitality. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity to visit LA again. I highly recommend The Glencoe Retreat!"

"First, Helen was easy and a Gem to deal with. We arrived, everything was clean and put away. The walk down the passage way gave my wife some thoughts to ponder but after getting to the bungalow, she was good to go. Cassie (bartender)was the first one to greet us. She was very warm and inviting. She made our 1st day. She was unpacking her car with bar stuff and took the time to make sure we stopped in and saw her later that evening (we didn't due to plans but joined her later that weekend.) p.s. now she knows how to make "killer" mint julips! The bungalow was cozy, bedroom was large enough with a good comfortable bed. The loft had a bed also and was used by my son after a night out and no one wanted to drive. The kitchen is small but had the essentials. We were very busy so the TV was off most of the time but had a good picture and sound when we did use it. The bikes were a play. We rode down to the beach every day (no parking expense) and just locked them up. Pretty cool. The decor is early american Venice with a very colorful palette - it was fun. We will stay again if we get back there in the near future. Very much worth the $$. DO NOT MUCH FOOD - very small frig (beers and water for the most part)"

"Charming vacation cottage! Loved the cleanliness, the gardens, hot tub and privacy!
The owners are very thoughtful. In case you may have forgotten something, you just may find it in this "home away from home"!
We had a wonderful time in Redondo Beach, and would definitely want to stay here on our next visit!
Thanks for all of your hospitality, Pam and Bill!"

"First, I'll mention the hill you have to climb to reach this house. It's about 100 to 150 yards of an uphill walk to reach this place. Not overly steep but for anyone not in fair shape it can be a problem. Just be advised. I actually liked it. The home itself is three stories with a large bedroom on the first floor with bathroom. You go up to the Kitchen and dining area, down the hall is bathroom number two and bedroom at the end of the hall. Top floor is a large open living room like area with great views of the city, a fire place and a sliding door to a outside patio. There is also a pull out couch bed on the top floor. Everything is nicely decorated and it's definitely one of the better rental homes in Avalon to stay at. I was able to get into the home earlier then the check-in time and allowed to check out at a later time on departure since on one was arriving that day, which worked out great for us. The owners are very nice and we are planning to come back soon."
