  • Fantastic California Vacation !

"We have stayed here for two summer vacations---and we enjoyed this home and Beverly Hills location immensely ! This year there there was new furniture throughout the house and new floors an a completely renovated heated pool! We loved the furnishings and new, plush linens. The location is fantastic, with fine dining as well as many places for the children. Disneyland, Universal Theme Park and the beaches are very close ! There is a new barbeque by the heated pool which made dining very enjoyable. We will come back next year :)"

  • Amazing Designer Home with best location!

"The home was perfect in every sense. The location was close to Universal, parks, beach, airport, UCLA, shopping, everything... yet the home was a private oasis in the middle of it all. Beautifully fitted with attention to the smallest detail by the owners. We stayed for 3 weeks for the summer and we felt very at home and didn't feel like we lived out of the suitcase. The kitchen was fully fitted with all the appliances you would need to cook any meal. The home was well maintained and owner had cleaner in during weekdays so again very helpful since it was a holiday, and it made us feel like it was with the daily housekeeping. The owners were always very helpful with any questions and problems encountered during the stay. That is very important. We would love to rent again if we are in LA and would recommend to anyone without hesitation."

  • We loved this house!

"I dont normally take the time to post reviews but really wanted to let people know how amazing this home was. We were very appreciative to find such a nice home in the best location possible. It was fun to learn that Harrison Ford used to love next door! The home was located on a small private street with only 3 homes. There are no neighbors on either side, only 2 across the street, so the privacy was great. I would take nice walks in the morning and with all the greenery, couldn't believe I was in "LA". Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine, cheese and crackers and everything was set up perfectly for us to make ourselves at home. The house itself was really beautiful, warm, and open. The floor-plan was very open and bright and is perched above the street like a tree house, that gave such a nice feeling. The Master bedroom was gorgeous and the bathroom reminded me of The Peninsula Hotel spa. There were 3 fireplaces and a cozy downstairs den where the children had a great time watching movies. Almost every room looks out to the pool so we felt like we were in a resort! There were too many great details to mention but I wanted to at least share my thoughts on this home because we have had trouble booking vacation rentals in the past and were so relieved to find a home which was actually even better in person!"

  • Urban Oasis

"This place is simply magical. I live in Tokyo, but I visit Los Angeles once to twice a year, because close family members are residents. I’ve stayed in many fine hotels in the city, but I dislike the street noise (early morning leaf blowers and constant traffic) and the rigmarole of valet parking. My husband and I were flying out for my father’s 90th and were staying six nights. I wanted to combine family outings with a vacation-like setting. And on VRBO there was a photo of Franklin Canyon Park from a terrace and I was captivated. The listing stated the house was minutes from Beverly Hills. And it was. But from our perch, all we could see and hear was nature (we treasured star-gazing, too). With a fantastic kitchen—and its working knives—we could also cook for friends and family when we were up to it. Mostly, we cherished Eileen’s place as our private sanctuary. With jetlag and constant family gatherings this was a great retreat for us. Oh and the hiking trails were many. We only walked along two of them but when we stay next time we will explore more."
