  • Gorgeous Malibu Vacation

"We just spent a week in this lovely home in Malibu and enjoyed it immensely. There are two nice sized bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, as well as a small kitchen area with a table and 3 chairs, microwave and small frig. It was very clean and well-appointed . . . lush towels, comfortable bedding, beautiful hardwood floors, even beach towels and a couple of beach chairs were available. Use of the owner's upper patios was made available to us (both open and covered areas) and they provided us with the most spectacular views of the ocean, which you can actually hear! The home is gorgeous and you will feel as if you are a rich, Hollywood mogul living in this place! It is located in a very quiet hilltop spot, a few hundred feet from the Pacific Coast Highway. Many beaches are nearby, and it was quick and easy to get to Santa Monica, if Malibu is too quiet for you. Dukes was a great nearby place for Fish Taco's. Pepperdine is right up the road as well. Check out the Inn of the Seventh Ray if you want a romatic place for dinner. We hiked at Temescal, which was great and challenging! This home is a great choice for a week or so; it's a little small, but we had four people in it for the week, and it worked out fine. We ate all of our meals out, except for one take-out at a local Thai place. Finally found the Coffee Beanery at Cross Creek in Malibu at the end of the week, which is a good alternative to Starbucks! The owner was very helpful, offered to assist with anything we needed, but left us alone to enjoy our week. Overall, it was a great experience. I'd highly recommend!"

  • Love Santa Monica

"This is a lovely condo, beautifully decorated, very clean, and very comfortable. The owner is a delightful person who will do everything possible to help you feel comfortable. The building faces Palisades Park and the Pacific, but the condo does not have this view. But you just leave the condo, walk to the front of the building, and the view is incredible. Palisades Park is wonderful!!--you walk in either direction and see beautiful palms, flowers, and people--and you feel completely safe. It is a long walk down to the beach because you are on a bluff--but fitness people seem to love it as they jog up and down the stairs. The beach itself is sooooooo beautiful--miles of sand and ocean--just lie on the beach and listen. Or, if you want to be active, rent a bike and bike for miles, or take surfing lessons. Some people play volleyball. For entertainment, you can walk to Santa Monica Pier, or to the many shops on the Promenade (a an area where the streets are closed off just for pedestrians)--and on some days there is an open air vegetable market. There are so many wonderful things to do in LA that you really need a car to do all of them, but if you just want a quiet time, you can walk nearly everywhere from the condo. A covered parking space is provided which is a real plus as parking is sometimes hard to find in this area. The streets around the condo have beautiful old home with gorgeous landscaping--a wonderful morning or afternoon walk. A truly lovely visit in a beautiful location."

  • Location is everything

"Location is everything in Los Angeles, and this place has the best location around to see the sites of Hollywood. We hiked Runyon Canyon, walked down to outstanding restaurants on Sunset and were just a few steps away from the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame and Mann's Chinese Theater. The condo was very accommodating, with a nice bed, super comfortable couch and televisions in both the living area and bedroom. We made meals in the well stocked kitchen and kicked back with a glass of wine. The owner was helpful and responsive whenever we had questions. We would recommend this rental for a single person visiting for business or pleasure, or a couple on a getaway weekend. Enjoy!"

  • Small and simple

"We stayed here for nine days as a family of six, with children between 8 and 13. The house is not very big but big enough. It has plain and practical furnishings and all necessary amenities (including dishwasher, washer, dryer, WiFi, and 2TVs with cable - which we didn't use). We missed some soup plates (for pasta) and would have appreciated more cereal bowls. The beds - including the sofa bed - are comfortable. There were only four sets of towels (we were six people). There is a nice backyard with a gas grill. The garden table is a bit small for six people and there were only three garden chairs to sit on. Abbot Kinney Blvd. (a somewhat hip street with wannabe unique restaurants and shops) is just 100 yards away. And it took us some 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach (with kids). The neighborhood is very mixed. The night when we arrived, there was a man sitting in front of the garden gate who was yelling and crying and on our way to the beach we met homeless and stoned people and also had some quite unpleasant encounters. But that is Venice and we were not surprised. You should take into consideration that going out after sunset might not be suitable for families with children."
