  • Best Family Vacation

"This beach property was absolutely perfect for everything we wanted to do while in the LA area, as well as lots of time on the beach and water. The condo was just right for our family of 5 and had all the amenities we were looking for to make this our best family vacation yet. Our kids (16, 12 & 10) loved playing on the beach out the front door, surfing & boogie boarding the waves, playing volleyball and taking walks to Hermosa Beach. My early morning or sunset runs along the strand up to Manhattan Beach were so amazing as well. Nanette was so awesome to work with and very quick to respond when communicating. We would highly recommend staying at this property for any getaway!! We hope to return in the future."

  • Lovely spacious vacation home

"We stayed in this home in July 2014 for a week and it had enough room for eight adults. It was very well equipped with a large kitchen, separate dining room, two comfortable sitting rooms - the upstairs room had a very large TV with netflix available and a table tennis table. There were plenty of towels, including beach towels, and such amenities as hair dryers, shampoos, washing powder. There was room for both our rental cars on the drive. The younger generation enjoyed swimming in the pool, though it wasn't quite warm enough to tempt all of us! We enjoyed the proximity to the airport, mall (lovely yet economical restaurant called "Islands" is within walking distance) and beach. We enjoyed Universal Studios and Hollywood when we had the cars. On the downside, we found the layout a bit awkward, mainly because the king sized bedroom has two doors, one which leads to the family room where we all liked to hang out, and the other leads to the two other bedrooms - so it became a corridor of sorts. The main reason we didn't give this a five star rating was because the dishwasher was ineffective in cleaning dishes, yet everyone before us had been using it so all the dishes were dirty when we went to use them. (We mentioned this to Nancy's son who was very helpful and friendly.) We would recommend this house."

  • Cool place with a 1950's theme

"My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this very nice cottage. It was a good size for us and a perfect location. We were in L. A. to visit our grandson who is currently being treated at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. The cottage is less than a mile away from the hospital, so we were able to walk there each day. It is located on the side of a hill and so to get there you have to walk down a staircase that covers two stories. If you can make that trip, the experience is well worth the climb. The cottage itself is indeed “adorable”. Robin and Tim have been able to preserve a 1950’s feel, yet it has been thoroughly updated inside. The bathroom and kitchen are in great shape and have everything you need. Two of the three nights we fixed dinner at the cottage. One night we ate outside on the small patio in front of the cottage. Very nice experience. Robin and Tim are great hosts. During our stay both of them went out of their way to come by and check in on us to make sure we were comfortable in their place. Robin was particularly helpful setting up the reservation and provided useful information about the area and how to get there. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to anyone, especially those visiting the Children’s Hospital and the Kaiser Hospital located nearby."
