  • Bonsai!

"Really lovely studio apartment! Excellent facilities and location with gorgeous gardens and delightful hosts. Great local coffee shops, very close to the beautiful Topanga beach and just short drives to Santa Monica, Malibu and the San Bernadino Valley. Fantastic scenery driving up and down the winding canyon roads as well as on all the nearby hiking trails. Tucked away in a beautiful oak grove with a charming forest of bonsai trees on the patio, it is an ideal spot for anyone looking to unwind and take in a bit of nature without being far from the city."

  • Gorgeous House 15 Minutes from Hollywood

"Four of my friends an I rented this home to get together with some classmates in the LA area. We wanted a place that was beautiful and quiet but accessible to both Pasadena and Hollywood where we have friends and family. The house is even nicer than the pictures depict. The rooms were very spacious, beautifully decorated and with excellent beds. There was a well equipped kitchen and understandable HVAC systems. The pool and spa were immaculate and the grounds well maintained. The owners, Suzanne and Ethan, were unfailingly gracious and accommodating, and responded quickly to any needs or inquiries. The neighborhood, borders a gold course, is full of similarly beautiful homes and grounds and is great for walking or jogging. We've rented several places on VRBO, all nice, but this was the best."

  • Spectacular Home Across From the Beach

"This home is beautiful, four levels of space with an elevator to make it easy for one with limited mobility to reach three of the four levels. Decks on the second and third levels provide unobstructed views of the beach and the ocean. The kitchen has Viking appliances and is the best stocked of any of the houses that we have rented while traveling. The balconies have heaters, and we ate outside on the upper balcony each evening. Everything in the home is top of the line, is immaculate, and is well maintained. There are bikes, scooters, kites, boogie boards, etc. available for use. There is a several mile boardwalk along the beach, which we used every day. The large game room with an air hockey table, foosball table, ping-pong table, etc. was a great hit with our grandson. There are multiple televisions throughout the house. We have stayed multiple times at the house, and the owner, Mike, has went out of his way to make sure that everything was acceptable and that all our needs were accommodated. Unequivocally, this one of the best homes that we have encountered in our travels."

  • Best welcome to the US!

"After a 14 hour flight from Australia, my husband and I were tired and a little disoriented. But we had no trouble finding our way into the cool peaceful bedroom of this apartment after a short taxi ride from LAX--Tina made it all so easy! After a few hours of restful sleep, we went exploring, and that's when we realised what a great choice this apartment had been. It's in such a beautiful neighbourhood, and so close to everything. We walked down to the beach, along the waterfront, and watched the sunset from under the pier. Then we wandered up to Third Street Promenade and found a great Mexican rstaurant for tapas and margaritas, then dinner. And then it was an easy walk back to the apartment. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed, in a lovely building with only a few other guests--who we never saw or heard. Over the next few days, we walked a few blocks down Montana Ave and did some shopping at the Pavilions supermarket (wine and antipasto mostly for us!), had a great Italian dinner at Spumoni on Montana (delicious gnocchi!), and even enjoyed a wonderful massage at The Massage Place on Montana. Our most memorable meal was probably brunch at Huckleberry Cafe on Wilshire Blvd--Green Eggs and Ham to die for! And every day we made our way to the beach or Palisades Park (two blocks away) to watch the sun melt into the Pacific. Magical! Honestly, we were only looking for a few quiet days in Santa Monica to recover from the flight--a jumping off point for our five week trip to the US--but instead we found ourselves enchanted by this homey apartment, in a gorgeous neighbourhood, wishing we had more time to explore LA from here. Next time I guess :) Truly the best welcome to the US we could have asked for."
