"We scheduled our visit a year ago but had to cancel. Morrie worked ,all year,with us to find a new time that fit our schedule . We are so happy we made it. Quiet and private .The sound of the waves is therapeutic . The Pacific looking out over the loft the mountains out the bedroom windows. You can see the Channel Islands right from the deck. County Line and Leo Carrillo beaches for surfing or just walking the beach. A fun drive to anywhere . Great Place. We will be back. Great owners . Thank You Morrie we felt right at home."

"A gorgeous place right on the ocean! The house was bigger than it looked online, and it has anything you need. There's a great outdoor shower, and a stairway directly to the beach, where there is tide pools at low tide. Great barbecue area at front patio, house is situated on quiet end street. I can highly recommend this place!"

"We've rented homes - from Maine to Hawaii, this Malibu Gem was the best. We booked this getaway retreat for August. Stately, but not overstated beach charm make you at home. The character and decor calmly reminding to relax- Yes, its that nice. Amazing views/sights, we took 500+ pics during our stay. Seagulls, dolphin seals, the ocean, the ocean, the ocean. Every possible amenity was provided from corkscrew to colander. Abundance of high quality sheets, towels & pillows. Our host, Martin, could not have been more welcoming. He provided excellent, personalized (remembering my 50th) service. He was always an email or text away for help. I will rent this home again (or another from Martin). If it's booked August or September- that might mean I beat you to it! Comparing similar properties in LA beach areas – this was the best pick. Built circa 1930s, the house has original charm with modern features (WiFi/AC/DW/WD/FP). 2 levels feels like two separate spaces, never cramped for 4ppl. Note: the upstairs bedroom has widows on BOTH sides of the room –RARE- that had excellent cross breezes! To gain entry to the lower level/Master Bed (with stunning views) you have to take stairs (narrow) that are outside. On this level, the wet bar and HUGE entertainers deck with fireplace and beach access. At high tide the water comes right up to the breakwater wall. During full moons larger waves will crash into the wall and splashback will land onto the deck: AMAZING WATER SHOW sight and sounds!. The beach access is easy, not for the mobility restricted. At low tides you can beach-walk & swimming is just a few yards in either direction from the house. 2 public access beaches/surfing walking distance. A wine tasting room and trails are w/i walking distance. 2 good eaterys walkable; "Reel Inn"($$) great food/patio -always a line; and a Thai place($$) good. 5 min drive: “MoonShadows”($$$) great space, "Nobu"($$$$$) amazing space. Shopping is only 5 min drive away. There is parking for 2 vehicles. Additional parking on the other side of street. We almost never left the property. Pretty private; occasional neighbors walking along the beach at low tide. Never any noise, Malibu has pretty strict noise laws. Friday nights and Sunday afternoons can be pretty heavy traffic times if you are considering exploring.One of the best things about this home is the proximity to major LA attractions and LAX. We live in Hollywood and wanted a home close enough to commute to work from."

"We stayed here with my family of 4 for a week in August. The place is exactly as described. All amenities in the unit for cooking etc, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, etc. The location is perfect. You can walk to almost anywhere. We always felt safe. The private parking directly under the building is very convenient and is steps to the front condo door. The pool is very nice, although we spent most of the time in the ocean. There is no A/C in this unit, but we did not need it at all during our stay. The condo is on a very private beach, so it is very quiet and relaxing, however you are just a short walk or drive to many of the area beaches if you wish. Make sure you venture into the Santa Monica mountains (Thousand Oaks and Calabasas) even if it is just for a burger at the In/Out Burger. The views are spectacular. Tonya was excellent to deal with. You could contact her by phone or email anytime and she was always available to answer any questions or address any issues or concerns. I would stay here again for sure and would recommend this place to anyone. Great experience booking with VRBO."
