  • Very nice place and roomy, beautiful layout, super quiet neighborhood.

"This place was absolutely perfect for us. The only possible improvement would be if it sat right on the beach! The house is only a very short and pleasant 5 minute walk to the beach down a pleasant lane. The beach there is nice, and very secluded, little or no public. Also of course, no lifeguards, so if you intend to swim, you should be a strong swimmer and have another swimmer with you. But the beach is a beautiful setting. 5 minutes away is Zuma Beach, with full facilities and lifeguards. Too far to walk there, but just 5 minutes down PCH. I spent a lot of time on Zuma beach as a kid, and it's one of the best all-around beaches in Southern California. The house is roomy enough that 6 people could be quite comfortable and have plenty of room, and you could squeeze in a couple more in the loft area adjacent to the bedrooms. Located in a very nice neighborhood, and quite tastefully furnished. The only sounds at night are from PCH a few hundred feet away, but they aren't bothersome at all. The neighborhood itself is very quiet. It was ultra-clean upon arrival, and naturally, the landlord expects it to be clean when you leave. If you're the sort of guest who considers cleaning up your trash and mess after you check out to be part of the deal, this isn't for you. Also, if you plan on having parties, this isn't the place for you. It's not a hotel, it's someone's home! There is a full scale Ralph's supermarket a 10 to 12 minute drive down PCH, a great Farmer's Market every Sunday, and plenty of good restaurants withing 10 to 15 minutes of the house. Trancas Market is only 5 minutes away, and is a small and friendly old-fashion country grocery. The is also a Starbucks next to it, as well as a few small retail shops. The house also has a large grill, fueled by natural gas from the house, so no concerns about charcoal or LP bottles. We had family over one night, and grilled dinner- very nice touch! The property rep met us at the house upon arrival, and was completely accommodating and interested in doing anything possible to ensure we had a great stay. He gave us his personal phone number, and told us to call anytime with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a quiet getaway virtually as good as on the beach, and within a very short drive of supermarkets and shopping. It was more than we expected, and helped make our short getaway one of the best we've ever had. We will absolutely be returning for more stays!"
