  • Fantastic stay!!

"My wife & I stayed here from Dec 18th to Dec 26th. Not only are the owners, Layne & Dan, the best one could ask for but the property is great. Seems much larger than advertised with loads of room for the two of us plus our pooch. The master was large with an electric fireplace, big flat screen TV and gigantic walk in closet. Kitchen is bright & well appointed with table & chairs, all the appliances and washer/dryer to boot. Living room is homey & comfortable with TV & DVD. Second bedroom on the smaller side with no window but a good place to park the suitcases, hook up the computer at the work station or watch TV on another flat screen. Nice bright bathroom with room to move around and store your toiletries. Property is gated with large lawn area, small enclosed patio and, best of all, off street parking. Greenbelt area right across the street for walking the dog or go another block to enjoy the wildfowl at the lagoon and cross the foot bridge to let the beastie tear around in the roped off 'dog park' area. Short, pleasant walk to restaurants & stores, ocean beaches and a block from the most quaint, well stocked deli/grocery/restaurant/wine store you've ever seen. Couldn't ask for more at an affordable price...close to won't regret it."

  • Excellent family vacation

"Overall I was pleased with the interior. The owner was such a sweetheart and was flexible with our request . I will also like to note that the interior looks different than the pictures, it seems like it has been newly remodeled inside ."

  • Sweet, Safe, and Perfect for Families

"We stayed at this beautiful Silverlake/Atwater Property in December. I stayed there with my husband and two children, ages 16 and 9 and another friend and her two children, ages 14 and 2. We chose it because of it's fantastic location that is close to lots of cool shops and restaurants and it's situation on a quiet leafy street. The neighbours were all lovely people and when I took the two youngest children out for evening strolls they all said hello as we admired all the Christmas lights they were putting up. The house is surrounded by a high fence with a massive large sliding wooden gate which is great for privacy and security. There is a gorgeous grassy courtyard in the front with tables and chairs as well as a few kids toys. There is also a little tiled walkway with a bench and a hidden ashtray for those who smoke as the house is smoke free. The house itself was so cute, decorated with all sorts of vintage items. It was like a little art deco house with a real hipster feel. Even though it was so gorgeous, we felt totally comfortable at all times even with kids. The beds were amazing - high and plush and the linen was beautiful white cotton. Our bedroom had a little room off of it with a single bed for a child, which was great for us travelling with youngsters who want to sleep near the parents. Io the owner also brought us over a baby cot and lent us her son's pram for the stay. So thoughtful and kind. There was also a third office room that we were able to put a mattress on the floor for our oldest son so he could have privacy. The older kids were stoked with the TV projector which took up a whole wall! We were also offered discount tickets to tourist sites, given a fruit basket and a welcome gift by our accommodating hostess. At NO time did we ever feel unsafe in the house or the neighbourhood. We come from a small seaside village in Australia, population 300, and felt completely at home. Only my husband had ever spent time in Australia and we were a bit nervous about being in such a big city but it felt like we had a home away from home. We also had a huge vehicle and although there was no parking on the property itself, there was always parking available on the street and our car was totally safe. It was a worry free vacation in the big smoke! GREAT STAY AND CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN!"

  • Excellent Family Rental

"This is one of the top rental properties that I have ever stayed in and definitely has the most up to date interior decor. Our 4 day stay in this Malibu home was really enjoyable. We found absolutely everything to be clean and well maintained. It was more than comfortable for four adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for meal preparation. The neighborhood is very quiet but convenient to the beach by walking, bike or car. It is a great location from which to explore the local area or to just hang out and visit. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space. A convenient new shopping center on the PCH has a Starbucks and it seems that a restaurant and a grocery will soon open at that location. I experienced great response and communication with the property manager both before and after our stay. I will definitely look to rent this property in the future as we will be frequent visitors to the area for a while."
