"The house provides a very pleasant stay with a fine pool, a great location near restaurants, coffee, etc. in North Hollywood, as well as a quick drive to Burbank and easy access to the freeway. Decor has personality and provides ample space, and kitchen is updated except for an older but classic oven/range that works well. Bedrooms have plenty of closet space and are good sized with comfortable beds. Weekly cleaning is good for controlling mess and dust, and pool is regularly cleaned also. Landlord is easy to contact and replies very quickly and responsibly took care of every minor problem (one day the pool needed chemicals; it was rectified the next day) except for a broken sliding door, which in his defense was very tricky to fix because it was vintage I think but it would have been nice to have had it fixed. Bedrooms were very comfortable, and bathrooms were fine. Laundry appliances worked well and got the job done, and we washed very often without problem. Towels, dishes, pots, etc. were in good condition and there were tons of towels, which was great for using the pool daily. Landlord has recently updated cable/internet so that now TV has all the cable channels and internet is very fast, which is an advantage from the slower internet I had for the first month. That improvement is a great addition. Extra rooms upstairs get a bit hot but provide nice areas for kids or extra people. Neighborhood felt perfectly safe to me and was quiet at night. Logistics with the landlord were dealt with easily and with no problems and he was very accommodating and available for our stay. A car is a must for this neighborhood, and the driveway is gated and there is plenty of security for the house. Burbank Airport planes do fly overhead but not very often and the noise didn't bother us during our stay (flights did not go much past 9 pm I think). All in all a great house in a great location, with only a few minor hiccups, that are probably now rectified and would make a stay even better."

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival we located our parking stall in the back and proceeded to unlock the door, living room was fair size with classic hardwood floors running through much of the house, house is on a bit of a busy street but it is mostly student traveling to school, good walking distance from convenience stores, overall our stay was good and the house is a good size and easily accommodating"

"We are Malibuites who desired a two week "homestead" on the beach with our college kids while they were home for the summer. The owner of this unit was very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. She went out of her way to make it easy for us. This condo complex has a nice pool and deck area with plenty of sun and shade. The location on the beach could not be more perfect. It is a short walk on "Billionaire Beach" (or when the tide is high on the street) to the two most beautiful restaurant and outdoor deck experiences in Malibu (Nobu and Nikita) and to the charming Malibu Pier which itself boasts two restaurants. One strolls on the beach past multi-million dollar homes over white sands and next to cerulean blue waters. The parking spot that accompanies the unit is critical since parking on PCH is almost impossible. As locals, we were able to enjoy our home community in an entirely different way than the one we typically experience living on the land-side of PCH. It was hassle-free and so we visited the beach and the above restaurants far more often. One can always hear the waves from the unit itself and there is a peek-a-boo ocean view from a small deck on the side of the unit. The furnishings are modest but clean and comfortable and the unit has everything from towels to shatter-free glasses to make slipping into beach-living an easy proposition. We hope to visit again and we recommend this unit to everyone."

  • Loved Havenhurst!

"We stayed in Bungalow Two and it was PERFECT for our family of 5 (with teens). Excellent location and easy street parking (Joe let us know where we could park and when). The house had everything we needed and was comfortable and homey. It was like home away from home. Joe was extremely responsive and helpful in answering our questions, and provided a lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. We would definitely recommend and stay there again!!"
