"This home is beautifully situated overlooking mountains and town with a view of L.A. in the distance. Well appointed, clean, comfortable in the extreme. The hosts have thought of everything. Hand cream, tissues, cooking essentials plus, tons of clean towels, beautiful bedding, seating outdoors and in, movies, suggestions for local eateries and grocers and on and on. Staying here made me feel like a privileged guest. The view doesn't get any less awe-inspiring with time. We couldn't recommend more highly."

"We stayed in this sweet home for a weekend in November. It was the perfect time to visit Pasadena - sunny, but not overly warm. The house was very clean, and absolutely adorable. It had an older home charm, and hip and artsy decorations. The three bedrooms and two baths were perfect for our party of 5 people. We especially loved the dining room area, which had a fantastic large rustic table. We spent most of our time in the house sitting around this table together. The neighborhood is lovely, with many tree-lined streets and a short drive to downtown Pasadena."

"We loved staying at The Standard. It is nicely restored, very vintage, fun and comfortable. The neighborhood is a lovely, upscale older neighborhood that is fun to walk through and very close to the Norton Simon Museum and the Old Pasadena shops and restaurants. The location is great, as it is easy to get to just about anywhere if you have "non-commute time" traffic, and Pasadena is on the metro light-rail line. Also, it is fairly close to a Whole Foods, which is important if you need a picnic for the Hollywood Bowl. And the Hollywood Bowl has a shuttle bus from Pasadena, so that works perfectly too! Overall, we loved it and felt like we had the classic vintage Southern California experience. We want to go back next year, as there is so much to do we couldn't possibly do it in 4 days."
