  • WHAT A GREAT VACATION BEACH PAD

"My wife and I spent 4 weeks (9/06 thru 10/04) at this elegant apartment while visiting our son who lives a few blocks away in Hermosa Beach. We fully agree with the prior reviewers’ comments that the photos accurately depict the inside and outside appearance, amenities, cleanliness and close proximity to beach and restaurants. We decided not to rent a car since a Metro.net bus stop was conveniently a few steps down the street on Pacific Coast Highway, and from there we traveled everywhere we wanted to go (e.g. Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Long Beach, Shopping Malls. On weekends, our son would take us on drives along the coastal towns between San Diego and Santa Barbara. Of all the beaches, we found Redondo's and its pier to be the most beautiful. Not only did this apartment meet our expectations, it met our delights. We definitely recommend it and look forward to returning."

  • The Haiflich Family

"We had an awesome time at this home. We were in town to visit family. Everyone congregated here and it was comfortable enough for all our guests. We made dinners and visited while the kids enjoyed the playhouse , slide and trampoline out back as well as the table tennis and tether ball out front. My little girls found the toys and it was such a treat to have lots of books to read to them. My big boys totally dug the entertainment system and when the cousins came over they had movie night on the big screen. Very comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood. Close to everything. Boogie boards and beach toys in the garage. A bottle of wine on arrival....we made treasured memories here, for sure!! My only tip to incoming guests is that the house doesn't get a lot of breeze because of the higher homes above it to the rear. We turned the oven on the first night and it heated up the house. It was already unseasonably warm temps. We then decided to use the crock pot, which we were happy to find! There is also a grill out back. Great home! Beats a hotel anyday!!!"

  • From MN! Spring Break

"I have family who lives in Harbor City. I was on spring break with my two kids (12,15). I was okay staying in the 1 bedroom and so were they. It was in our budget and perfect for our needs!!! Upon immediate arrival the kids asked if we could live on site. Everything we needed was there. Beach towels, bikes, coolers and cleaning supplies! I think all of that is a great bonus. The cottage is super cute, comfortable and charming. We are planning a return visit. This time we plan on utilizing the relaxing grounds and beach area. The only couple things I would recommend is: 1. Repairing of kids beach bike 2. A small microwave (we had no way to heat up leftovers from eating out) 3. TV was in and out..service was fuzzy. We were on the go most of the time so it didn't Impact us much. If it woulda been rainy or we wanted to watch tv it would of been more of issue. The owners were available for any questions. Check in and out was easy.... Overall, excellent choice. Never had issues finding parking which was great!! Thank you for everything. Can't wait to be back. The only issue I would see for visitors is keep in mind with bedroom set up: if two people in the bed, you would have to crawl over a person to get out of bed. It worked for us. For older couples? Only reason I invlude this is because it asks about 55+. Again, no bearing on our stay. We loved it!!!! There isn't much of a need for a car if you just plan on hanging in area. It's so close to beach!!"

  • Felt Like We Lived in Redondo Beach

"After years of staying in hotels while visiting a relative who resides in Redondo Beach, we decided to give this Home Away Rental a try. This enchanting, historic bungalow proved to be one of the best vacation choices we have ever made. We felt immediately comfortable in this well kept and beautifully landscaped property. The owners, Susan and Bill, were most helpful and friendly, even providing a well appreciated gift basket. The location is in a quiet, settled neighborhood, but only one and a half blocks from the beach. Riviera Village, with its unique shops, coffee cafes, grocery stores, and exciting restaurants is also within easy walking distance. Really, we are in our sixties, and it was a pleasure to be able to walk everywhere, even down to the Pier. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. A gas grill was also provided for the pretty backyard patio. We enjoyed the well decorated front room and den. A favorite place to relax was on the backyard swing. Being surrounded by beautiful plants, inside and out, brought true delight and relaxation everyday. Exactly what we wanted. While visiting, we enjoyed day trips to Joshua Tree National Park and Torrey Pines State Reserve in La Jolla. The free hiking trails at Trump National Golf Course were also a favorite spot along the coast in Palos Verdes. We can't wait to come back to this lovely Home Away where we will, once again, feel like we live in Redondo Beach."
