  • Absolute hit with the whole family!!

"We stayed a week at Casa Bella and loved it. We went with our 2 kids and at the end of the trip I took a vote and it was 4 out of 4 enthusiastic votes in favor of staying there again. The views are spectacular!! The rooms are comfortable and there is a great view from every room. The kids loved having their own room and tv. We bought pastries and snacks and could have breakfast with breathtaking views on our balcony. We loved strolling through Malibu with fun places to eat, movies, restaurants, stores, easy access to beaches. It's a quiet peaceful neighborhood high on the hill with amazing sights but easy/quick access to the center of town. We watched the fireworks from our balcony. We had a bbq on the main balcony which was really fun. We could hear the waves at night and slept with the windows open to enjoy the sounds and woke up to the ocean in the morning. We enjoyed a glamorous vacation in Malibu. It was a short drive to Universal studios, the ocean, Beverly Hills, billionaire's beach, UCLA, and Getty's museum. The house itself is beautiful and it was a pleasure just to sit in our room or in the balcony and enjoy a drink with a view. Eric was wonderful. He had made careful preparations before our arrival. He was helpful with getting us anything we needed or answering questions and making us feel at home. He and his wife had kindly left us some snacks and beverages and paper plates/utensils/etc and lots of fluffy towels. He gave us privacy and was absolutely unobtrusive and absent when we wanted to enjoy family time. He's built the house himself and clearly took a lot of pride in it and it was meticulously maintained. What can I say. We absolutely loved it."

  • Cozy retreat for two one block from beach

"This charming little hidden gem is perfectly located one block from the beach and is only about 10 min from LAX. It was exactly as pictured on the website, very clean, quiet, well stocked, and the owner was quickly responsive to a few questions. We never needed heat or air because the temperature was perfect! Loved the hardwood floors and tile and ceiling fans. Having a washer and dryer available was also very convenient. The wifi, dvr and TV also made it easy to stay connected. The location was very walkable to all of MB. Since we stayed for over a month, we joined the Easton Gym, which is only four blocks away. Awesome classes and equipment. We frequented the Fish Bar on Highland, also only a few blocks away. The proximity to the beach made daily walks on the strand and down to the pier a breeze. After discovering a weekly Tuesday Farmers Market, we walked down to 13th St each week, for the freshest CA produce and food stands, then stopped in at Lemonade on Manhattan Beach Blvd, for a fresh lemonade before we walked back to our little place. There is also a Trader Joe's on Rosecrans, about 5 min away. Access to the 405 and 105 is also nearby, which made zipping over to Hollywood quite easy to visit our daughter. We also toured the USS Iowa in Long Beach, drove up to the Simi Valley, checked out great restaurants in nearby Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Santa Monica and Malibu are just up the PCH. There was so much to do and see, or if we wanted to just relax we just did that too. The only major problem we had was at the very end of our stay, and that was we didn't want to leave!!! We would highly recommend this property."

  • My new pied a terre in Malibu

"By all means rent this unit! So cozy and charming and right on the water. Although it sleeps 4, I'd suggest a max of 2 (I was flying solo, with my dog, fwiw). I brought prepared foods, fresh & frozen, from Trader Joes and still used almost every appliance/amenity in the kitchen, so you're totally covered in that regard. Got take out twice from Neptune's Net; why eat there when I could bring it back to my little nest to enjoy? At the time of my visit, there was no beach at the unit, just boulders and crashing waves. This did not bother me as being on the water was breathtaking. The deck met my needs for both privacy and sunbathing just fine. Sandy beach was 5 minutes walk but does require a little climbing down to access so wear tennis shoes. Bring a lot of firewood; you will burn through it quickly and will want to make a fire in the morning as well as the evening. The unit is not easy to find and cannot be seen from PCH. To improve upon the directions provided by the owners, I would suggest watching for these landmarks: Heading north on PCH, pass Neptune's Net. Get in left lane. On immediate left, where houses start, there is an old Cadillac with a car cover on it. Turn left into the driveway just past the trunk of the car. Pull down the driveway to the end and you have arrived! Also, the unit is directly across PCH from the giant menorah on the hill. Ya can't miss it! So, someday if they move the Cadi - likely never - the menorah should still be there! Enjoy!"

  • Fantastic Place

"My family stayed here for 10 nights as we were in So. Cal to celebrate our son's wedding. The accommodations were perfect for us. Plenty of space (despite <1,000 sq. ft), excellent location, and the best part of it all was the spacious private patio. We hosted a wedding rehearsal in the patio area and easily fit 40 people. The location is premier - walking distance to the beach as well as great restaurants on Main Street and the 3rd Street Promenade. I would highly recommend this place and we would stay there again in a heartbeat."
