  • Lovely bright house, good situation

"Well kept, clean house; lovely garden filled with fragrant flowers and humming birds! House is a bit of a 'tardis' - small frontage, but stretches back and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Owner extremely attentive, house very well stocked with soap, washing powder etc etc. Easy to park in quiet residential street. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Not far from Venice canals and beach. Plenty of shopping nearby."

  • Family getaway

"The owner was very accommodating on arrival. We had gotten into town early so she rushed to get the place clean quickly and let us check in early and hit the beach. The BEST part about this place is the amenities she provides. Bikes for everyone, boogie boards to use, beach toys, kites, and even the house is stocked with toys and games. Our kids, 10 and 12, loved it! It is just one block to the beach and easy access to the bustle of both Venice and Santa Monica as it sits literally sandwiched between the two. The home is cute and quaint with everything you need. The owner even had a bowl of juicy oranges and granola bars for us when we arrived. So welcoming and accommodating. Parking was tight but there was space in the back of the unit for our big SUV. We jostled a bit when we need to get the bikes out but it was easy enough. The only drawback to this location is the street noise. It sits right off of Pacific so the traffic noise drowns out any beach seagulls or quiet you might want sitting on the back patio. At night and early morning can be really loud especially since you need to have all the windows open to let a cross breeze through the unit. My kids didn't mind and I had earplugs so it worked out okay. Lovely home and would definitely stay here again!"
