  • Good location, great shower!

"Ideally located if you want to explore Santa Monica, Venice, & Marina del Rey. You could do it all on a bike, as we did. Rent from J's Rental on the boardwalk, ask for a weekly price, and you could even cab it to and from the airport thereby eliminating the need for a car. It's a 3-minute walk to the beach and 5 to central Abbott Kinney Blvd. The outside shower is great! The caretaker went out of her way to get us an air mattress for the kids. My only gripes: we pay a cleaning fee and are asked to take out the trash at the end of our stay?! It took the owner 19 days to process our refund when we were told it would come 2 days after we checked out."

  • Whole house is perfect

"We rented both floors of the house - one for my friend and her family, one floor for my family. It was a perfect situation - it was nice to have our separate spaces, but be able to have meals together in the backyard. Kevin is very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • Great last minute rental!

"Thank you Jeb, and your dog Whitney, for a great experience that started out very stressful. We had lost the place we were supposed to stay in Venice and found this avail at the last minute. I celebrated my 40th birthday on the big lovely deck with a few treasured LA friends and grilled goodies on the BBQ. Our dog Pinky fell in love with Whitney and if we ever move to LA like we've been talking about we will get in touch for a doggy date! Loved having a full kitchen with all the amenities and a big living room with a piano in it! Thanks again!"

  • Small and simple

"We stayed here for nine days as a family of six, with children between 8 and 13. The house is not very big but big enough. It has plain and practical furnishings and all necessary amenities (including dishwasher, washer, dryer, WiFi, and 2TVs with cable - which we didn't use). We missed some soup plates (for pasta) and would have appreciated more cereal bowls. The beds - including the sofa bed - are comfortable. There were only four sets of towels (we were six people). There is a nice backyard with a gas grill. The garden table is a bit small for six people and there were only three garden chairs to sit on. Abbot Kinney Blvd. (a somewhat hip street with wannabe unique restaurants and shops) is just 100 yards away. And it took us some 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach (with kids). The neighborhood is very mixed. The night when we arrived, there was a man sitting in front of the garden gate who was yelling and crying and on our way to the beach we met homeless and stoned people and also had some quite unpleasant encounters. But that is Venice and we were not surprised. You should take into consideration that going out after sunset might not be suitable for families with children."
