"We first arrive at the condo and were impressed by the ease of parking as we had a 'large car' to get into the garage. We were slightly worried it wouldn't fit but it was perfect! We chose this condo as we love the beach and had three teenagers with us and needed them to be entertained for our week on Venice Beach. Wow, you don't get bored at Venice Beach! The condo is sited perfectly so you are near enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough for it to not interfere with your holiday. The right side of the pier. Surfing equipment was in abundance. The skate park was awesome according to my 15 year old son and muscle beach... Well what can we say! We hired bikes and cycled to Santa Monica and around the canals. All very pretty. It was relaxing and lovely being on the boardwalk to watch the world go by. Only down side was the smell of the books which are probably old and with the sea air gave an unpleasant aroma but after one night we soon got used to it. The outside chairs are rusty and we would recommend you do not wear white t-shirts on them! We have been back in England for nearly two weeks now and if we could go back tomorrow we would. Thoroughly recommend this condo to any age group."

  • Lovely stay

"I had a fantastic four weeks here. The property is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The outdoor area is lovely and half way through my trip the cushions for the outdoor furniture were replaced which made a difference. Santa Monica airport is very close so be ready for planes coming overhead pretty low. The use of eco products while admirable meant that the sheets didn't always smell very fresh and I had to have them changed a couple of extra times. Also the location is a good 30 mins walk from the main areas of Santa Monica or Venice. Luckily there are beach cruisers to get you there faster. Its a very safe and secure place which was important to me as a single woman. The only downside of the beautiful glass doors everywhere is that at night the only window you can have open is the one above the front door so things get a bit stuffy. I had a strange conversation the week I was due to check out where they tried to suggest they wouldn't clean the place even though it had been a week since it had been done but that was resolved in the end. I'd recommend this for people who want somewhere a bit away from the action with lovely outdoor space."

  • Family getaway

"The owner was very accommodating on arrival. We had gotten into town early so she rushed to get the place clean quickly and let us check in early and hit the beach. The BEST part about this place is the amenities she provides. Bikes for everyone, boogie boards to use, beach toys, kites, and even the house is stocked with toys and games. Our kids, 10 and 12, loved it! It is just one block to the beach and easy access to the bustle of both Venice and Santa Monica as it sits literally sandwiched between the two. The home is cute and quaint with everything you need. The owner even had a bowl of juicy oranges and granola bars for us when we arrived. So welcoming and accommodating. Parking was tight but there was space in the back of the unit for our big SUV. We jostled a bit when we need to get the bikes out but it was easy enough. The only drawback to this location is the street noise. It sits right off of Pacific so the traffic noise drowns out any beach seagulls or quiet you might want sitting on the back patio. At night and early morning can be really loud especially since you need to have all the windows open to let a cross breeze through the unit. My kids didn't mind and I had earplugs so it worked out okay. Lovely home and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Cute loft in the perfect location!

"My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our baby. It looks just like the pictures -- very open and full of light during the day which is really great when staying in a 1 bedroom place! It was the perfect size for us and had plenty of room for our baby's Pack-N-Play downstairs. It was a warm weekend but they had fans available for us to use (the owner even dropped off an extra one) though it wasn't much of an issue since we were out for most of the days. It is very close to all the great shops and restaurants on Abbott Kinney (Tasting Kitchen for brunch was amazing, Gjelina Take Away or GTA for all sorts of great food are just a couple of our favorites). It was even faster by to get to everything by bike - we brought our own and kept them inside the gate but they have ones to borrow too. We biked to restaurants/shops on Rose (Lincoln & Rose area - Superba Snack Bar was so good!) and also biked to Santa Monica (the Misfit for happy hour, Sugarfish for yummy sushi) near 3rd St Promenade using bike paths on Main Street. The neighborhood is nice and the property was very clean. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!"
