  • Spacious Home Great for Family Vacations

"Excellent home in the prime area of Marina Del Rey. Enjoyed our family vacation in this home and it exceeded our expectations. Has a plethora of amenities, is just a short walk to the beach, dining, shopping, Abbot Kinney, Venice Pier, and adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier. This home is a must for families looking to take a beach vacation."

  • Location, location, location

"We first arrive at the condo and were impressed by the ease of parking as we had a 'large car' to get into the garage. We were slightly worried it wouldn't fit but it was perfect! We chose this condo as we love the beach and had three teenagers with us and needed them to be entertained for our week on Venice Beach. Wow, you don't get bored at Venice Beach! The condo is sited perfectly so you are near enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough for it to not interfere with your holiday. The right side of the pier. Surfing equipment was in abundance. The skate park was awesome according to my 15 year old son and muscle beach... Well what can we say! We hired bikes and cycled to Santa Monica and around the canals. All very pretty. It was relaxing and lovely being on the boardwalk to watch the world go by. Only down side was the smell of the books which are probably old and with the sea air gave an unpleasant aroma but after one night we soon got used to it. The outside chairs are rusty and we would recommend you do not wear white t-shirts on them! We have been back in England for nearly two weeks now and if we could go back tomorrow we would. Thoroughly recommend this condo to any age group."

  • Amazing little home away from home in Venice

"The Glencoe Retreat was such an amazing experience. Our hosts made us feel at home immediately. The home was clean, comfortable and very quaint. I also loved the retro-chic decor and the minimalist design of the home interior. The location is also perfect! We were minutes away (by bicycle) from Abbot Kinney which had such a great vibe. It's also a quick drive away from West Hollywood and all the tourist spots you would want to visit. I really felt like I got as "authentic" a Venice/LA experience as a visitor. On top of all this, our hosts were amazing. Always a smile on their faces and they were always so kind and generous with their hospitality. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity to visit LA again. I highly recommend The Glencoe Retreat!"

  • Romantics

"First, Helen was easy and a Gem to deal with. We arrived, everything was clean and put away. The walk down the passage way gave my wife some thoughts to ponder but after getting to the bungalow, she was good to go. Cassie (bartender)was the first one to greet us. She was very warm and inviting. She made our 1st day. She was unpacking her car with bar stuff and took the time to make sure we stopped in and saw her later that evening (we didn't due to plans but joined her later that weekend.) p.s. now she knows how to make "killer" mint julips! The bungalow was cozy, bedroom was large enough with a good comfortable bed. The loft had a bed also and was used by my son after a night out and no one wanted to drive. The kitchen is small but had the essentials. We were very busy so the TV was off most of the time but had a good picture and sound when we did use it. The bikes were a play. We rode down to the beach every day (no parking expense) and just locked them up. Pretty cool. The decor is early american Venice with a very colorful palette - it was fun. We will stay again if we get back there in the near future. Very much worth the $$. DO NOT MUCH FOOD - very small frig (beers and water for the most part)"
