  • Incredible Beach Front Property!!! PERFECT setting for a Secret Proposal :)

"This spectacular beach house was the setting for a surprise proposal The Wedding Sparks had the pleasure of working on! Daniel wanted to pop the question to his girlfriend Andrea on the beach, so we picked this amazing house because of it's one-of-a-kind panoramic views of the Pacific. The couple that own the home are some of the warmest people we've ever met. They made us feel like we were right at home...well, that is if our home was a very expensive-private-beach-front-cottage kind of a home. The sound of the waves echoes throughout that whole house, and the salty air made us feel like we had died and gone to heaven. Dennis and Leah definitely have future tenants in us! Can't WAIT to get back!!!! Thank you again for everything!!! If you want to see more pics of this awesome home and it's spectacular views, check out our blog for photos of Daniel's engagement...http://theweddingsparks.com/the_scoop/daniel-and-andreas-proposal-and-engagement-session/"

  • Peaceful Sanctuary w/Breathtaking Views

"I needed a safe, peaceful, and inspiring place to heal from some health challenges and this was the perfect haven. Not only was the house cozy and comfortable, but the neighborhood was quiet, safe, and filled with kind people. It harkened back to my childhood with people of all ages walking safely at night and children on scooters and bikes who actually greet you with a smile. Deb was the perfect hostess, who made sure I had everything I needed and even took care of having the neighbor's trees trimmed so that I would be able to enjoy the breathtaking unobstructed ocean view. At night, I was lulled to sleep by the calls of the peacocks."

  • Location, location, location

"We first arrive at the condo and were impressed by the ease of parking as we had a 'large car' to get into the garage. We were slightly worried it wouldn't fit but it was perfect! We chose this condo as we love the beach and had three teenagers with us and needed them to be entertained for our week on Venice Beach. Wow, you don't get bored at Venice Beach! The condo is sited perfectly so you are near enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough for it to not interfere with your holiday. The right side of the pier. Surfing equipment was in abundance. The skate park was awesome according to my 15 year old son and muscle beach... Well what can we say! We hired bikes and cycled to Santa Monica and around the canals. All very pretty. It was relaxing and lovely being on the boardwalk to watch the world go by. Only down side was the smell of the books which are probably old and with the sea air gave an unpleasant aroma but after one night we soon got used to it. The outside chairs are rusty and we would recommend you do not wear white t-shirts on them! We have been back in England for nearly two weeks now and if we could go back tomorrow we would. Thoroughly recommend this condo to any age group."

  • Great place with a view to stay in Avalon

"First, I'll mention the hill you have to climb to reach this house. It's about 100 to 150 yards of an uphill walk to reach this place. Not overly steep but for anyone not in fair shape it can be a problem. Just be advised. I actually liked it. The home itself is three stories with a large bedroom on the first floor with bathroom. You go up to the Kitchen and dining area, down the hall is bathroom number two and bedroom at the end of the hall. Top floor is a large open living room like area with great views of the city, a fire place and a sliding door to a outside patio. There is also a pull out couch bed on the top floor. Everything is nicely decorated and it's definitely one of the better rental homes in Avalon to stay at. I was able to get into the home earlier then the check-in time and allowed to check out at a later time on departure since on one was arriving that day, which worked out great for us. The owners are very nice and we are planning to come back soon."
