  • A True Cottage Experience

"This is a lovely cottage. Surely this is what a French or English countryside cottage must be like. It is well kept, charmingly decorated, and peacefully romantic. It is very close to the village of Mendocino (minutes away) and not too far from Ft. Bragg should you require anything from stores like Safeway or CVS. The California coast is spectacular and state beaches are nearby. There are also numerous wineries within a short driving distance. If you are planning a trip to the area, I would recommend this cottage as your home base. Although I would consider the cottage as a destination in itself. We sat out in the garden with wine and cheese one afternoon. In the wee hours of the morning we went out to view the lunar eclipse and enjoyed the sound of the ocean in the still of the pre dawn hours. We played guitar by the fire in the evening and grilled steaks for a quiet dinner. Lastly, the added bonus is Mary. She is simply a gem--charming and hospitable. She adds little touches that are considerate and demonstrate her hospitality. Thank you for sharing this spot with us."

"This house met our expectations. Catherine is great, weather was perfect. We had a wild bunch stay next door but due to the privacy bushes between the houses, it didn't both us at all. Hopefully Catherine will have us back to visit again."

  • Amazingly Perfect!

"We had the honor of staying at Brad and Paula's beach house for an adult weekend getaway, and I must say it was nothing less than perfect! It was clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. I was bummed out because I forgot to bring my Apples to Apples game, but was so excited that they had it in their stockpile of games to play. We enjoyed time at Irish Beach with the private pass card that is provided. The hot tub at night under the stars was breath taking and relaxing. We barbequed both nights and was able to build a couple of small fires in the fire stove. I just can't put into words what a great time we all had. I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard with friends and being in such a great environment was the icing on the cake. They have the house at a very reasonable price. We will be making reservations with them again :)"
