  • Perfect!

"Caspar Cottage was a lucky find. It is a smartly designed, beautifully built hideaway in the woods but just a few minutes from the charming town of Mendocino. Woodwork and tile is handsome. Sofas, couches and bed are good quality and quite comfortable. This cottage is immaculate. Bonus for us city dwellers: ultra-quiet nights and bright stars in the dark night sky. Diane is the perfect hostess. She is pleasant, knowledgeable, and there when you need her to be. She gave us many great tips on touring the surrounds. We have been vacation renters for over 20 years and Caspar Cottage was our favorite yet."

  • UNIQUE

"The Tower is a work of art, unique, charming, spiritually up-lifting, one of a kind. Whether you are drinking your morning coffee on the patio or daydreaming looking out any window, the garden becomes an inspiration. I want every one to see it."

  • Secluded, spacious, clean and comfortable

"Our group of four adults, 2 toddlers and two dogs stayed here in October 2014. The property is great for a group who enjoys outdoor space and is particularly nice for kids and dogs. The large property is at the end of a long private driveway, so there is no traffic or noise. This made is a safe place for the kids and dogs to run around. The house had been closed up for a few days when we arrived, but there are many windows with screens, so it aired out quickly. We didn't need to use the heater or air conditioning as the nights were cool and the days warm. The kitchen looked like it had recently been remodeled and has a large gas stove/range, two sinks and a large refrigerator. The whole place was very clean with enough furniture and plates/cups/utensils to have everything we needed without being cluttered. The wifi was fast enough for us to watch movies. The house worked well for us because we all kept similar hours, but there is quite a bit of sound travel between the upper living area and the bedrooms downstairs (our child shouted back lines of movie dialog he heard from upstairs). The owners were communicative and helpful. Overall a great place for anyone looking for room to relax and enjoy the lovely views."

  • Ladies Get Away

"We call ourselves the "Beach Glass Babes" (4 professional women and my small goldendoodle, Riley) and have traveled to Ft Bragg annually for the past 5 years. Cedar Run has been our home away from home for 4 of those trips and we are already planning for 2015! Shirl and Jim have done an excellent job making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We take full advantage of the areas diverse offerings and have explored many corners of the region with many more to discover! Cedar Run is the perfect location for privacy and access to anything you may want to see, and has all the amenities to relax and rewind after a full days activities!"
