  • A fantastic find!!

"This is my first review although we have rented several VRBO properties; this rental beats them all for a large get together. We were a family of eleven from 9 months to 90! The house was great in every way! Pictures don't do the house justice. Open floor plan, with absolutely beautiful views in every direction; bright and airy. Well away from neighboring houses. Clean and well equipped. Large floor to ceiling windows in the living room area. Plenty of room to spread out. Great bedroom space. Fantastic amazingly stocked kitchen with all equipment needed for our 'foodie' family. Well stocked with linens/towels and a large washer/dryer. Huge screen tv with supplied 3D glasses/movies/games for night time entertainment. Very friendly owners who made rental easy. Thanks."

  • Wedding weekend

"This property is exactly what you see in the photos. It's very clean and well kept. Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful view. We had 5 adults and 2 children for a weekend wedding at Pt. Cabrillo Lighthouse. It was close by everything, ie: reception in Caspar and activities in Mendocino village. The two couples, plus a single had their own room and the children loved sleeping on their own futons in the game room downstairs. The owners are very nice people to work with, very professional. The Wednesday before our arrival there was a big catastrophe, the water heater and furnace going out meaning no hot water and no heat. The owners tried finding us another place to stay in Mendocino Village, but was everything was booked (3 weddings that weekend) and another house for us to look at online in Ft. Bragg. They offered us a 50% discount to stay if we wanted to. After looking up the house in Ft. Bragg, it was not close to Blue Heron quality, we opted to stay without hot water. We survived and glad we did, it's a beautiful home and you'll love staying there."

  • Fantastic place!

"We absolutely loved this place, its cosiness, how close it is to the coast, amenities and many other attractions (Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Cabrillo lighthouse etc..), its beautiful views of the ocean from the hot tub, its charm and especially how helpful and accommodating Stephen has been ever since we first showed interest in his place until I forgot a couple of earrings and he sent them back to me straight away! Our dog loved running around the property, our 15 month old really liked opening all the different drawers in the coffee table and discovering all sorts of board games (there's a whole closet filled with just those!) and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed Stephen's attention to detail in the house (very well stocked up on towels and kitchen stuff amongst others!) We look forward to coming back again for another birthday or romantic getaway very soon!"
