  • Independence Day weekend

"We loved this property. We went over for the long 4th of July weekend and had a fantastic time. The photos are perfectly indicative of what you get when you stay in this home. The house is centrally located and easy to walk to everything. We can't comment on the restaurants, as we did not go out to eat the whole time. I read a poor review just a couple of weeks before we went. I was a little nervous to see what was going to happen. When we arrived I was very happy with what we saw. I won't speculate as to the circumstances that Bill references in his review, but I will say that if his review was accurate, the issues he cites have been addressed and rectified (with the exception of the leaking drain from the deck into the garage. This however, was no real problem as we did not even know it was an issue until the last day as we were cleaning up and noticed it on our final walk-through). Bill also mentions that the home is for sale. I'm not sure why this is listed as a downside. It did indeed have a for sale sign in the yard, but so what. We have two young children and found that the stairs were no problem for them. There really are not that many stairs to deal with. We give the property five stars and would love to stay there again. It seems unlikely that we will be able to because our schedules are very tight and don't allow us to go the coast as much as we would like, but we would jump at the chance to stay there again."

  • Great stay

"We have stayed at many vacation rentals in Shelter Cove and this is the best so far. Although we are locals, we love getting away for the weekend. This house had the best location. The back deck is right above the ocean with the most beautiful views. Open floor plan which made great for having dinners. The house was stocked with everything we needed. I only wish it had more bedrooms. And one of the beds was small so my Husbands feet were hanging over. We will still be renting this in the future. There is only 1 house that is close so it is very relaxing. Love this place."

  • Great location for all activities

"My husband and I stayed here for a week, August 2014. Definitely the best house in the neighborhood. Close to all that we wanted to do- hiking, walking, sightseeing, relaxing. There are actually 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. The owners have lovingly updated the home. The yard is quite spacious, though we were too busy to spend much time out there."

  • Felt Like Home

"A very well kept 1920's bungalow - with a second bath addition to the master bedroom - its a perfect fit. The kitchen is nice, the corner kitchen sink and windows are well placed. The location is excellant - two great resturants within walking distance and a good feel for what its like to live in Eureka."
