"Great place to have a family reunion. Tough for the elderly to get to the dock but a great view from the main deck. Good dock was in good condition and had room for our boat an kayak. Comfortable for sleeping 10 in the main house. Seemed to have enough hot water for showering all of us. Not much room for turning cars around and DO NOT tow your boat to the house. Had unhook it and turn by hand with help from a couple who happen to drive down the driveway. First cast from the dock resulted in a 4 lb bass."

  • Incredible views!

"It's the most beautiful place we have ever been to on the coast. The views were absolutely amazing! It's very private and the view from the house and the deck is breathtaking. My sister flew from Europe for this trip and she said she has never seen such a gorgeous view and she traveled across the world. Thank you Judy for a wonderful stay!"

  • A fantastic find!!

"This is my first review although we have rented several VRBO properties; this rental beats them all for a large get together. We were a family of eleven from 9 months to 90! The house was great in every way! Pictures don't do the house justice. Open floor plan, with absolutely beautiful views in every direction; bright and airy. Well away from neighboring houses. Clean and well equipped. Large floor to ceiling windows in the living room area. Plenty of room to spread out. Great bedroom space. Fantastic amazingly stocked kitchen with all equipment needed for our 'foodie' family. Well stocked with linens/towels and a large washer/dryer. Huge screen tv with supplied 3D glasses/movies/games for night time entertainment. Very friendly owners who made rental easy. Thanks."

  • Perfect place to see the redwoods

"Beautiful, well maintained house in a spectacular setting. Our family of 3 generations stopped here on an extensive tour of the west coast. We were happy to see the personalized welcome sign in the driveway after an all-day drive. We found the house to be very clean and the owner was right next door to answer questions. We did all our "redwood spotting" from the house as a base for a couple of days before continuing on south. We would highly recommend this house and stay there again if we return to the area."

Albion Travel Tips

Luxurious Albion Vacation Rentals

All of the Albion vacation rentals are nestled between the towns of Elk and Mendocina, California in the county of Mendocino. Albion is a tiny town offering an overwhelming amount of culture and history dating back to 1853, when it was founded. Any North California Coast travel should be rerouted through Albion if only because of its pristine coast lines and small community atmosphere. Almost all of the Albion lodging has a view of the Pacific Ocean and as if to add to the wonder of the area, Albion has the last remaining wooden bridge along the Coast Highway.

Find History with Albion's Museums

An excellent first stop, for those seeking the history of the area, would be the Kelley House Museum in Mendocino. This museum offers visitors a unique view of the lumber and shipping industries of which the area was founded. It is a popular stop for everyone exploring the North California Coast. Next, for a more oriental view of the Albion area, visit The Temple of Kwan Tai Museum. Here, people are given a view of the area in the mid 1800s as it was seen by its first Chinese settlers. This rare piece of American Chinese history was fully restored in 2001 and is open to the public from May to October.

Dining Luxury Only Found in Albion

While enjoying the excellent Albion lodging, be sure to indulge your sweet tooth at the Mendocino Cookie Company. Giving patrons an organically tasty experience that is also healthy, this cookie company has a relaxed cafe atmosphere. The North California coast nights can be spent tasting local brews at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company. This award winning brewery has been made famous for smooth drafts and a unique flavor. All of these exciting adventures, and many more, are all within a few miles of any of the Albion vacation rentals.
