  • Beautiful home

"We (my mom (senior) and my two kids (age 10 & 11)) had the best time. The home was immaculate and had a gorgeous kitchen to cook in. It's perfect for a family of 4. Very close to Glass Beach which we visited daily. Found the home centrally located to many of the places we visited. If I have to have a negative it was the no screens on the windows which made it not easy for us to have the windows open. (bugs would fly in) But that is truly the only thing I have to say. Owners easy to work with, very accommodating, easy to get a hold of if I had questions. LOVED IT!!!!"

  • Words can't describe truly how wonderful this place really is...

"Basically the entire west side of the house (the side that faces the ocean) has all giant windows, and the view is just amazing. House is stocked with everything could want or need. 2 bathrooms, one has a giant shower with great water pressure, and a heat lamp for when you get out. 3 good sized bedrooms, two have windows that face the ocean. Nice kitchen, that is well stocked with utensils and appliances, we cooked large meals every morning/noon/night. BBQ'd, cooked pasta, sauteed, grilled, boiled, fried, baked, steamed, roasted... Just awesome! The hot tub also sits on the west side of the house, and both my wife and I have been dreaming about our long soaks with the sound/view of the ocean in the background. We spent a lot of time at the beach as well, just a 5 minute walk from the house. We did a lot of beach combing, miles of endless beach, and explored all the tide pools without disturbing any sea creatures. Wen't on a beautiful 25 minute drive up the coast to Mendocino. Bought our 5 month old his first wooden train and walked around the various little shops in downtown. Very cool, laid back vibe, and atmosphere. This place is just what we needed to unwind and get lost for a few days. Pat and Diane are such great people for allowing all of us to share their perfect little place on the coast. My wife and I are already planning a trip back. You really won't regret renting this place out! It's perfect!!"

  • GREAT TIME

"We had a wonderful time. The house is charming, the view is great. The beds are so so comfortable. We enjoyed watching the wild turkeys and the deer. Very clean and very relaxing. If we get to Mendocino again, we will want to stay here."

  • What an incredible little cottage!

"I came to this little cottage on the coast for what I hoped would be a relaxing weekend, and I don't think I could have found a better spot! I'm already looking at my calendar to figure out when I can come back and bring my boyfriend because it would be perfect for a couple. Actually, I'd love to bring everyone I love to this place so they can experience the happiness I did while I stayed there. Having a solo weekend getaway was what I needed, and this place exceeded my expectations in a big way! I was comfortable and although I was alone this place didn't make me feel lonely. It's spacious, yet cozy, and it's pretty well equipped with most of what you'd need. The hot tub was divine, especially at night under the stars...or early morning you can watch the sunrise while relaxing in the hot tub. It was magical. There were a few minor things that I noticed and wanted to mention. The sheets and bedding had been washed in very heavy scented detergent, and it was a bit overwhelming. I'm sensitive to fragrance and have to admit it was hard to fall asleep because of the strong scent of the pillows and sheets. I'd suggest using detergent that is fragrance free for guests that have a sensitivity to that sort of thing. The other thing was the shower had a curtain only, but no inner plastic lining. So as I was showering I had to keep the actual curtain inside the shower because otherwise water was getting all over the floor...but in keeping the curtain inside the shower it was constantly sticking to me as I tried to shower. I'd recommend a simple, plastic shower liner so there's no water mess, the cute fish shower curtain doesn't get mold damage or ruined, and so guests can shower a little easier. These are merely suggestions, and not complaints. I had such a great time that these minor details weren't a biggie but I felt I should mention them anyway. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at Tom and Susan's ocean front cottage home. I want to thank them both for sharing this truly special place with me. Tom was very nice and I'm glad I was able to meet him right before I left. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Susan but hope to next time I stay. I met many locals and explored the surrounding area during me two night stay. The weather was absolutely perfect...in fact, it was even hot and it's October! I couldn't have asked for a better getaway and it was one of the best weekends of my life, and one I will never forget!"
