  • GMAN

"Great place to have a family reunion. Tough for the elderly to get to the dock but a great view from the main deck. Good dock was in good condition and had room for our boat an kayak. Comfortable for sleeping 10 in the main house. Seemed to have enough hot water for showering all of us. Not much room for turning cars around and DO NOT tow your boat to the house. Had unhook it and turn by hand with help from a couple who happen to drive down the driveway. First cast from the dock resulted in a 4 lb bass."

  • Lovely!

"We went for a 3 day weekend for my birthday and it was even nicer than it looks in the photos. We especially liked the back garden/lounge area and the little private beach. The owners were really nice and helpful and provided everything we could have needed- even chilled glasses in the freezer, which was such a nice touch! The water is pretty green for swimming in the morning but generally much better by the afternoon. Great place - will definitely be back!"

Clearlake Travel Tips

Explore the Beauty of Clear Lake with Clearlake Vacation Rentals

As one of California's largest freshwater lakes, Clear Lake is located in Northern California in Lake County. Most of the water comes from runoff of Soda Bay. It is believed to be one of the oldest lakes in North America, with a history dating back 11,000 years. Clear Lake National Park is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, a place you can take your family and friends to enjoy fishing, swimming, waterskiing, wind surfing, boating, and the beauty of nature.

Activities for the Family near Clearlake Lodging

You can rent a fishing boat and enjoy the "Bass Capital of the West," as the lake has been called. You can also find crappie, channel catfish, and bluegill. In fact, the fishing is so good that, based on numbers of fish caught, professional groups have designated Clear Lake as the number one bass lake in the country. The Indian Nature Trail is enjoyed by hikers of all ages. It is a self-guided trail that passes through what was once a Pomo village and shows how the Pomo people lived and how they were resourceful with the area's natural resources. In fact, the whole Clear Lake area has a rich history of Native American and early settler history. Enjoy the best nature has to offer from your Clearlake vacation rentals.
