  • Dave and Charlene Second Year Rental

"This was our second year to rent this house and it was even better than the year before. The whole family had a great time and the back yard that looked off to the lake was great for my 2 year old granddaughter . The owner Dale was great and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable . If you enjoy fishing and boating this location has everything to ask for. My husband caught a bass while there and Dale gave us a great recommendation for boat and jet ski rental that was very reasonable. We will be back again next year! Such a great house !"

  • Memorial day

"This house met our expectations. Catherine is great, weather was perfect. We had a wild bunch stay next door but due to the privacy bushes between the houses, it didn't both us at all. Hopefully Catherine will have us back to visit again."

  • Clearlake Vacation

"We book this house for a weekend in October. We arrived in the evening around 10pm. We were a little nervous about the location being that we had to drive down a dirt road for quite a distance and it was very dark "not street lights". Felt a little like "the hills have eyes". When we arrived the house was very clean and had all the amenities that were in the description. However, there was no bunk bed in one of the rooms that pictures showed as having. We really couldn't enjoy the porch because there was sooo many rice flies. The disappointing part is that 3 weeks after our stay I was contacted from the owner "which she seemed very nice" that one of the twin beds had been broken and was now unusable and wanted to know what happened. My family is a very responsible and respectable family and there was no crazy party or ruff housing what so ever. We had a 83 year old grandma, a 5 month old baby, a 5year old and a 10 year old. All girls. Hardly the party group. lol The adult men fished most of the time. When my family checked out on Sunday, I did a walk through and made sure everything was in order, towels in shower basins, blankets folded on bed etc... I know for a fact the bed was not broken or out of place when we left on Sunday. I would have seen it or I would have been told my the person sleeping in it. The house looked as good as it did when we arrived. I was very shocked that she waited 3 weeks to call and ask about it. Weird. Now, after receiving my deposit back, I was not charged for the broken bed "thank goodness" however she did deduct around $23 for unexplained reasons. Still haven't heard what that was for. So my recommendation if you stay here is to take pictures of this house when you arrive and also when you leave to cover yourself. Lesson learned for me. But overall the house suited our needs for that weekend."

Escape City Life at Lakeport Lake Homes

One of the pure joys of Lakeport Lake homes is the serene natural beauty that surrounds you. If you're ready to escape the concrete jungle and get in touch with a quieter and more simple life, then Lakeport lodging is for you. When you visit Clear Lake, California, you can go boating on the lake, hike in the hills, or take a quiet shopping trip to some of the unique shops. When you need a bit of city life, San Francisco is just a short drive away from Lakeport lake homes, where you'll find the perfect escape to a place of peace and quiet.

Wine Tours Abound

A wonderful part of Northern California is the abundance of wineries. Lakeport lodging puts you right in the heart of wine country. Take an afternoon to explore a vineyard to see how wine is made – and even try a few local favorites. The two main wines produced in the area are Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Sauvignon Blanc flourishes in the rich soil. You can sample many flavors, including peach, melon, and even tropical fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon has a very concentrated flavor and grows among the rocks and minerals in the area. Knowledgeable wine drinkers refer to the wine from this area as a "classic."

Spend Some Quality Time on the Water

Those who have come to the area for nature won't be disappointed. When you stay in Clear Lake vacation rentals you'll be within minutes of fabulous fishing. If bass is what you're after, you've come to the right place. Clear Lake is home to the "monster bass," and the average weight for bass from Clear Lake is about five pounds. In fact, major national bass tournaments are held here every year, and Clear Lake is often referred to as the "Bass Capital of the West."
