  • Exceptional place...

"This was my all time favorite place to land. Such a thoughtful host, better kitchen than my own, views forever...we watched as a storm approached, raged on and then left again. Sun inching out through enormous clouds. We rested and relaxed and went for coffee and sandwiches every day to Cove Coffee by the fishing pier. Love that place, then home to the sweetest little retreat ever. Hot tub, a walk with the dogs...who have great accommodations as well, and my two did a LOT of sleeping. Wrote, read, cooked, all the while surrounded by the ever stunning outside world."

  • As much as we hoped for and more!

"I wanted to do something special for my 60th BD. Our group of 10 fit very comfortably in this beautiful house. From the first panoramc view of the ocean when entering the house to the comfort of the bedrooms and living areas to the amazing fully stocked kitchen I was able to celebrate with family and friends with such style and fun. The walks to the ocean were a close with a nice walkable beach. We had such a wonderful time hanging out, playing games, walking to the beach and cooking and eating great meals together. Bonnie was extremely responsive from my initial contact, as was the house manager Julie who helped us by phone getting the hot tub on. We arrived at the house with very well planned out groceries only to find out that I forgot to pack the eggs. No problem; drove 4 miles down the road to a fully stocked grocery/hardware store! I will definitely be going back!!! Though, I'll probably have to book earlier with all these great reviews!"

  • Very Relaxing!

"Stayed at the St. Clair house for 2 nights for our 8 year wedding anniversary. It was very relaxing to say the least! Great views of the beach, a hot tub overlooking the garden and the ocean and all amenities that you can think of. Some helpful tips: The walk down to the beach is not as easy as you would think. It is steep and the climb back up the hill is treacherous (at least for out of shape people like us) ;-) We definitely recommend taking the car. Also, bring non stick pans if you plan on cooking anything that may require it as we couldn't seem to locate any- although there is just about everything else you can imagine to cook with. While the vacation we took was just for us two for our anniversary, we have small children (Under 6) and could imagine that if we took them to the vacation home, it may be challenging due to a lot of breakables in the home (accidents happen) so I am not sure that we would recommend bringing really little ones however when ours get older, it seems like it would be fun. One more tip: we did not get any phone reception at all- so if you need to call home to check on your kids like we did, invest in a $5 calling card because the phones are only for local use in the home. This place was so beautiful- we highly recommend to any one wanting a nice visit to Mendocino County in a nice cozy environment. The drive to Mendocino is only about 30 minutes and the drive to Point Arena is only about 10. Donna was absolutely accommodating in every way and the process was very simple. It was our first vacation rental on VRBO so we were unsure how it all worked but she made it much more comfortable. Cant wait to come back again!"

  • Stunning cliff top home

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed with children and grandchildren and there was never a shortage of things to do. The stunning, brilliantly equipped kitchen, was a pleasure for Thanksgiving and the walks both up the hill and along the beach were incredible. This home is the perfect spot for sunset watching. The rental agency responded to our one tiny problem and despite the soft beds, we slept deeply. The sofa bed in the living room is rather old and has a wafer thin mattress. We pulled it off and put it on the floor. The one snag - Internet speed barely permits reading emails and loads too slowly for those of us who need to work. This needs improvement. Manager responded on 12/1/2014: Hi Anne-Marie, Thank you for choosing to spend your Thanksgiving here at Irish Beach and taking the time to leave a wonderful comment :) I will be sure to pass along your comments and concerns to the owner. hope to see you back here soon! Cheers, Maia Manager responded on 12/1/2014: Good Morning Anne-Marie, Thank you so very much for taking the time to review the lovely Bellagio home. We always appreciate Renter feedback. I will let the home owner know about the sofa bed. Unfortunately, in our geographically challenged locale the internet is quite scarce with only a few homes at Irish Beach even having Wi-Fi. However, good news is that a new company is in the Beta test stages for implementing new Wi-Fi on the South Coast. Fingers crossed. Happy Monday and hope to see you in the future. Kim"
