  • Terrific views, simply WOW!

"The description and photos of the house are accurate, the owner/manager are polite and quick to communicate, and our stay was amazing. Overall experience was very pleasant, and we will definitely revisit. The house sits on a cliff, and has very strategically located two bedrooms and the living room, which offer unending ocean views. The place was tidy, clean, and well stocked (the kitchen has enough utensils, and cutlery to feed an army). They have good selection of Blue Ray and DVDs, which was nice. Another good point - you have no internet connection, nor AT&T and Verizon signals. Allows one to totally relax without worrying about the world. ;-) The owner has a few magazines with description on things to do around, and other facilities, so you don't really need an internet connection. The hot tub was clean, and we enjoyed the spa treatment! The garage accommodates two cars, and you can have one or two more in the driveway. The Irish beach offer absolutely stunning views of the ocean, the community is quiet and peaceful and the house is spacious and relaxing enough for a vacation home."

  • A wonderful family experience

"We had 7 people staying at Villa-Mer and it was spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was beautiful, lots of counterspace, having a washer/dryer was very handy. The hot tub was so nice and had a great view. Perhaps the best view was from the living room and deck. Sunsets were a highlight of the day. We saw deer almost every morning. The private beach area was also very nice. One thing that was particularly great for us, was that two of our people were disabled and having two rooms without any stairs was particularly wonderful. The main floor was particularly nice for wheelchairs - no problem moving around. The stairs that go downstairs are a bit steep, but no problem for people without any mobility issues. The owner was a pleasure to work with, very easy and pleasant. I would definitely return to Villa Mer."

  • British Invasion

"The cousins were in from England and wanted to see Mendocino. We stayed at this wonderful house in the trees with a beautiful view of the Pacific. We cooked, sat in the hot tub, walked down to the beach, and enjoyed the beauty of the house. Loved, loved, loved it!"
