"The description and photos of the house are accurate, the owner/manager are polite and quick to communicate, and our stay was amazing. Overall experience was very pleasant, and we will definitely revisit. The house sits on a cliff, and has very strategically located two bedrooms and the living room, which offer unending ocean views. The place was tidy, clean, and well stocked (the kitchen has enough utensils, and cutlery to feed an army). They have good selection of Blue Ray and DVDs, which was nice. Another good point - you have no internet connection, nor AT&T and Verizon signals. Allows one to totally relax without worrying about the world. ;-) The owner has a few magazines with description on things to do around, and other facilities, so you don't really need an internet connection. The hot tub was clean, and we enjoyed the spa treatment! The garage accommodates two cars, and you can have one or two more in the driveway. The Irish beach offer absolutely stunning views of the ocean, the community is quiet and peaceful and the house is spacious and relaxing enough for a vacation home."Guest: ag Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: December 25, 2013View listing
"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family's stay in Irish Beach was very nice. We appreciated the access to such a beautiful beach, where we enjoyed kite flying, playing in the sand, and tide pooling. The house was clean and comfortable. We liked the gas fireplace; it was lovely and heated the place quickly. Our children, ages 5 and 2, played well in the house and shared a room without squabbling very much. They also liked playing in the large yard, where we saw deer and quail. We thought the house was in a great location, close to attractions in Point Arena, Fort Bragg, and Mendocino, yet remote enough that we felt we were really getting away from crowds and finding peace and quiet. There was a small glitch in our stay when a water pipe broke (or was blocked?) in the neighborhood and we had no water for about four hours. But the office staff responded immediately to the situation and kept us apprised of the progress of repairs. They also offered us the chance to shower and prepare food in a different cabin. Fortunately, the water service resumed and we didn't need to do that. To improve future guests' stay, we'd like to suggest sharpening the cutlery in the kitchen and providing a pizza cutting wheel. Also, it might be nice to furnish the house with a dining table that is not made of glass. All week I cringed when my kids set their milk glasses on it with little thuds. A friend of ours had a glass table break like this, in a big messy dangerous way. "Be careful!" we kept saying to our kids. Manager responded on 8/4/2014: So glad you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for the great review. We hope to see you again! -Franchesca :)"Guest: A guest from Cupertino, CA Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 19, 2014View listing

"Stayed at the St. Clair house for 2 nights for our 8 year wedding anniversary. It was very relaxing to say the least! Great views of the beach, a hot tub overlooking the garden and the ocean and all amenities that you can think of. Some helpful tips: The walk down to the beach is not as easy as you would think. It is steep and the climb back up the hill is treacherous (at least for out of shape people like us) ;-) We definitely recommend taking the car. Also, bring non stick pans if you plan on cooking anything that may require it as we couldn't seem to locate any- although there is just about everything else you can imagine to cook with. While the vacation we took was just for us two for our anniversary, we have small children (Under 6) and could imagine that if we took them to the vacation home, it may be challenging due to a lot of breakables in the home (accidents happen) so I am not sure that we would recommend bringing really little ones however when ours get older, it seems like it would be fun. One more tip: we did not get any phone reception at all- so if you need to call home to check on your kids like we did, invest in a $5 calling card because the phones are only for local use in the home. This place was so beautiful- we highly recommend to any one wanting a nice visit to Mendocino County in a nice cozy environment. The drive to Mendocino is only about 30 minutes and the drive to Point Arena is only about 10. Donna was absolutely accommodating in every way and the process was very simple. It was our first vacation rental on VRBO so we were unsure how it all worked but she made it much more comfortable. Cant wait to come back again!"Guest: The Weatherford's Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
