  • Simply the best

"We have rented properties from Hawaii to Europe and all points in between. Pepperwood is simply the best. It is classic Northern California Redwood Empire strong in its styling and location. The view is amazingly close to the water yet with a level fenced in yard that young children can run and play without worry. The house is California coastal retro, yet is tastefully updated throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and the entire house is white glove clean. When we arrived a fire was already laid and ready for a match in the fireplace. The uniqueness and feel for this home is found in the fact that every angle of the yard and spaces in the home have an incredible view of the surroundings. The flock of Turkeys brought an added thrill to our two young grandchildren. The games and child friendly nature of the house such as a high chair and pack and play were so thoughtful. The location of this house relative to Ft Bragg and the Skunk Train, or Mendocino and its shops is perfect. The beaches are minutes away. Brian and Michelle were very gracious and professional in handling contracts and payments including shipping back a forgotten kid item. We will definitely be back because Pepperwood is simply the best."

  • A Wonderful Water Tower

"My partner and I stayed here during a long weekend in Mendocino. We absolutely loved the Water Tower. The tower is surrounded by a beautiful garden, it is fully equipped/furnished inside, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the rooftop deck has unsurpassed panoramic views of the California coastline and the town of Mendocino itself. The owners are friendly and prompt with all correspondence. We highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Mendocino. We look forward to returning year after year."

  • Chapman Point/Whale Fest Getaway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Headed to Mendocino for Whale Fest and was not able to get the property we wanted. Mendocino Preferred said the property next door was available...Chapman Point House. Still the great location we were wanting overlooking the bay. Being on the water is a must! We had 4 days of Mendocino Coast beauty, decompression and fun. The property was the perfect size, nice and clean too. If you cook in, suggest that you bring some of your favorite spices with you. If you don't mind a drive, head up to Pacific Star Winery, north of Ft. Bragg, you will not be disappointed with the location. Eating in the bar at Little River Inn is perfect not only for the food, but sunsets too. We will definitely use Mendo Preferred for future getways! Thanks much."

  • romantic getaway

"We wanted to escape for a romantic weekend and this was the perfect place. Cozy, clean, and charming. We truly appreciated the attention to detail, and the simple yet well thought out decorating. We loved the hardwood floors, open beam ceilings, and all the windows displaying the amazing view. It was cold and foggy, but we were happy to escape our hometown heat, and cozy up to the warmth of the little wood stove. We explored nearby Anderson Valley and Mendocino, but honestly the highlight was hanging out in the deckhouse. We will most certainly return."
