  • Just Us and Our Dog

"We just finished a fantastic week at Cottontail Acres. The house sits on nine acres and there is nothing between it and the ocean. The sandy beach is beautiful and goes on for miles. We were often the only ones on it. We had deer in the yard every day. The house itself is fenced, so we were able to allow our border collie to run free. Holly, the owner, has literally thought of everything. There are even beach chairs and binoculars available for guests. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, and the beds are like new. Inside, wherever you look there is something interesting. This was the best, most relaxing get-away we've ever had, and we plan to reserve a week next year."

  • Nice House

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really nice place and great location. There were no trash bags so we called the property management and they told us they were locked away and someone would drop it off, no one showed for the 4 days we were there. The oven didn't work right and it took over 40 mins to cook a piece of salmon. The house was comfy and had a great view. We will stay again when in town, but bring our own trash bags."

  • Great spot!

"We stay on the Mendocino coast often and this house was one of our favorites. It's in an absolutley beautiful spot - regardless of the weather - and the house is lovely, comfortable and well stocked. We look forward to our next trip."

  • Perfect!

"My best friend (of nearly 50 years) and I just stayed in your rental cottage last week-end. It was absolutely perfect. We didn't really want to do the tourist thing, so we only went in to dinner one night. It was foggy, so no sunset pictures, but that is what we wanted. It was so hot at home (over 100 degrees) and forest fires everywhere. What a welcome relief if only for a few days. Everything was as you described it. You were so very helpful and gracious. Thank you again, and we will be back."
