  • Amazing House!

"We came on Friday and “WOW“! We totally love the expansive views and your home is “style” - we just loved it! It is very comfortable. We went boating - we loved the spa and the incredible views from it. I was able to cook my favorite foods and we had a nice fire at night. We had such a great time. Loved the privacy! We will definitely being doing this again. Also we took some great pictures. Thanks again."

  • Lovely and comfortable

"Our group of six spent an enjoyable weekend at the Upper Chalet when we came to run the Avenue of the Giants race. We loved the light and bright feeling of the Chalet and found it well equipped for our needs. It was a little tight for six of us sharing one bathroom and shower, but other than that we had plenty of space to spread out and relax - and the beds were super comfortable! If we run the race again next year we will be back!"

  • Words can't describe truly how wonderful this place really is...

"Basically the entire west side of the house (the side that faces the ocean) has all giant windows, and the view is just amazing. House is stocked with everything could want or need. 2 bathrooms, one has a giant shower with great water pressure, and a heat lamp for when you get out. 3 good sized bedrooms, two have windows that face the ocean. Nice kitchen, that is well stocked with utensils and appliances, we cooked large meals every morning/noon/night. BBQ'd, cooked pasta, sauteed, grilled, boiled, fried, baked, steamed, roasted... Just awesome! The hot tub also sits on the west side of the house, and both my wife and I have been dreaming about our long soaks with the sound/view of the ocean in the background. We spent a lot of time at the beach as well, just a 5 minute walk from the house. We did a lot of beach combing, miles of endless beach, and explored all the tide pools without disturbing any sea creatures. Wen't on a beautiful 25 minute drive up the coast to Mendocino. Bought our 5 month old his first wooden train and walked around the various little shops in downtown. Very cool, laid back vibe, and atmosphere. This place is just what we needed to unwind and get lost for a few days. Pat and Diane are such great people for allowing all of us to share their perfect little place on the coast. My wife and I are already planning a trip back. You really won't regret renting this place out! It's perfect!!"

  • Raves for an oceanfront delight

"The magic of this oceanfront home is captured in a slight turn of the house on the property. Great views abound from the master suite, the living room, dining room or kitchen. Take your choice of whitewater vistas with Black Point Beach straight ahead, or turn your eyes to right and scan the ocean for whales. From morning coffee to evening cocktails it is difficult to leave the patio, but the bluff trail on the edge of the property leads to the beach or lodge, or go to the right for the seal sanctuary. A big friendly yard and wildlife visitors add to the delight."
